Finally got my firm offer. Second choice location, which is good. So glad the wait is over, and I can finally stop checking this forum, it really has become an unhealthy obsession!

Good luck to all those with offers, and all those still waiting, I hope you do well in your new role

Hey James, that's great news - when did you get a call? I've not had one yet. Btw did PM you back although not sure if I did it correctly
  • Got my posting today in West Yorkshire, I was internal. I'm so glad I've been offered a behind the scenes post. I was given the choice of that or a PA job... It took me a millisecond to decide ha.

    Good luck to everyone

OMG I could not believe it! Just received a provisional offer via email today as previously was wait listed for Glasgow!!! It's so quick, hopefully the checks and formal offer will be as quick too. :D

Just a quick question, please advise who should I put for my references. I am at present in employment, when I was interviewed for the EO role, I was not. Do I put my current employer or my previous employer as a reference??? If I put in my current employer then that would mean I'd need to talk to them about the provisional offer, I'm ok with it but I'd rather not as I presume that from provisional offer to formal may take over a month as I only need to give a weeks notice, which may give me less awkwardness at work for a shorter period.

Hi Vegas, no news for you either - although that's not good news, it does make me feel slightly better in that it doesn't seem to be in score order (you're right with the scores btw) although James is quite close to me in location, so not sure how they're choosing to contact us
Really pleased for James and that he got his 2nd choice, must be such a relief :)

I got the phone call at about lunch time, missed the call as I was at work, phoned back at about 6 and spoke to someone who I assume worked at the Dover office. I got a location just outside my home town, which I'm actually really pleased about, as I didn't really want to work in my home town due to the nature of the role.

Excellent - do you know what role you have? When's your start date? Really pleased for you :T Sounds like they're doing it on a local level then.

Personal Adviser, which is only one word different from what I have done for the past 2 years, so hopefully I can get off to a fying start!:rotfl:

I was wondering if anyone here has actually started their new role yet, and if so, would you like to share your experience of it so far.
