  • Congratulations on everyone who have been offered a place. It's been a long process and to be honest, the whole thing has been a mess.

If you are external and haven't worked for the DWP before, you're going to be in for a frustrating time as the current tory government make more and more cuts while being more concerned with benefit sanctions rather than customer service. Something that the previous red tories started may I add along with the privatisation of our dept.

I have also been successful after being on the west of Scotland reserve list. I've been an acting EO for the past 3 years so it doesn't change anything apart from giving me a bit more security.

I still find it a disgrace that there wasn't an internal promotion exercise which we've always had in the past as there's plenty of able Band Bs already doing EO work on TDA.

I do agree with this, however I also find it a disgrace that those of us who proved to be good EO's as FTA's were all let go and lots of us have now been brought back in a very expensive recruitment process.... Hey ho thats life... ;)

Just received a phone call from a lovely lady confirming my offer in my preferred location, I have to choose a start date. I couldn't do it at the time I was too exited. I'm in the Thams Valley region. Good luck everyone else.

Good shot Amy, well done. Where did you get posted if that is alright? Might see you there.

Im still waiting like loads of people :(

Can I ask a favour of people from the Durham and tees area. Could you post (or PM me if you dont want to put it public) your score from interview, if you have had the formal offer yet, and if so where you were offered? I just would like to get a picture of how the process is working :)

Im still waiting, with a score of 40 (8,8,8,8,8) at interview.

    Hi SpaghettyHoop,

I'm Durham & Tees Valley too. Score of 38 (8,8,8,7,7), still waiting following a provisional offer on 22nd April. I'm an existing Civil Servant.

I wonder if we're the only two from this region on here?

I am also awaiting the results from Durham & tees valley. My interview score was 9,9,9,9,9. Like many others, I got my provisional offer in April and have heard NOTHING since. I have not even heard anything about my CRB check. I am an existing civil servant (although not with dwp) so I naively thought the process would be much quicker than this!

    Hope we hear something soon!

I was told by the helpline they simply do not CRB check existing civil servants.
