I was told by the helpline they simply do not CRB check existing civil servants.

I keep hearing differing reports, I know that me and my college were told we didn’t have to fill out the disclosure form

Although my past experience has been that disclosure check is location specific

That said I got a provisional offer on the 19th of April and called Disclosure Scotland and they have no record a check being requested for me

I'm a Civil Servant who applied for an internal and external post.

The internal vacancy did not require a CRB check, the external did.

I've yet to have a reply to either provisional offer. :(

    Xutl,

I am still waiting to hear for SE Wales too. Had my provisional offer on 24th April and recieved my CRB in the post last week dated the 18th May. I thought that I might have heard something this week but nothing yet. I am hoping for as late a start date as possible, even August if that would be at all possibe, I know that sounds bonkers.

I am sure it wont be too long now as the offers do seem to be coming in!

Congrats to those who have their start date and location x

I've not had my CRB back yet!:(

The way things are going we might well be starting mid July.

My employer requires 4weeks notice. Let me know if you hear anything. x

Congrats to all those with confirmed offers. Now that so many of you have confirmed start dates and we have many ex EO's here, can I ask a few things about the role. What would you say about the PA role? Is it a very challenging one or are most people ok to deal with? How often do you encounter problems and are there enough safeguards and support available? How much work pressure do you feel in the role, I have heard from some Dwp employees that many guys are off sick with stress----how true is this? I have a lovely harmonious job at the moment and I am hoping I'll be going to a positive supportive environment....whenever that is :) Fingers crossed.

Congrats. Your dates follow mine exactly except I haven't had my firm offer! I'm praying it come today, I'm starting to find the whole thing really stressful. The thought of the long weekend is bringing tears to my eyes, I am just that frustrated at it all :(
