    Hi Guys

I've been following this site for months now!

I was just wondering if any South Yorkshire are still waiting for the "phone call"?

I accepted my offer last month and not heard anything else since

Yep, still waiting for South Yorks here. Hopefully this week. Someone mentioned no FT vacancies in Sheffield so expecting somewhere far out. What about you? My score was 38 BTW.

Hi, can anyone help with some reference advice please? My partner finally got an offer and has just been trying to complete the reference section on 'Next Stage' - problem is, there is no current employer due to redundancy two years ago. Before that, only self employment, so do you put the self employment bit down as the first 'reference' and then a personal one for the second one? Presumably, the last 2 year's JSA status can be verified via HMRC and they will only need to know about the year before that? Incidentally, there was no email sent to confirm offer, it just appeared in the CS Login page. However, there's no date showing and as we've been away for a week and only just noticed it, we're a bit worried that we've missed the boat......any thoughts from anyone please? Thanks
  • Remind me again Sara, you were Thames Valley weren't you? Where abouts is your posting?

No, I''m North & Mid-Wales (the only one on this forum I think!).

    Counting down the days :T

I think you should be ok...they are so snowed under with this recruitment phase which should work to your advantage. If you click on 'view communication' on your CS page it should show you the date of the offer.

You say your partner was made redundant 2 years ago, can he not put that one down as a reference and then give a personal one?

    Good luck x

I put Rotherham, Doncaster and Sheffield down as my choices so hopefully get one of the first two?

I scored 44 and had an ATOS telephone meeting as well last week so really thought I would have heard something.

I must say its very daunting watching everyone getting start dates and locations but I'm still waiting! Getting very anxious now

Ah, you scored very highly, I know someone with 41 who already has a start date. It's probably the ATOS thing which is slowing you a bit. I wouldn't worry though- but I know what you mean with the anxiety; I've been going crazy waiting for my phone to ring!

I am constantly checking my phone and emails lol its getting obsessive!!

What choices did you put down for if you don't mind me asking

The person I know is starting at Doncaster with 41 points and there was someone on here who was given Rotherham instead of Sheffield.

I put down Rotherham, Sheffield, and Doncaster too. With my score I'm relatively low down the food chain!
