I was contacted by my home district and had a formal offer and they also told me which offices the other districts would be offering me and which would I be accepting.. I accepted my home district as I was offered the office of my choice... Hope that makes sense lol
Hi there, thanks. Pleased for you in that you got your home district. For me, I came so close to getting an offer from my home area but since the other area was quicker in processing their work and offered me a confirmed post, this worked so utterly to my disadvantage0 -
The wait is finally over and the offer for south east Scotland is in. Good luck to everyone else... Hopefully not to much of a wait now!0

Hi everyone, congratulations on everyone getting their offers through so far.
I am just a little confused, which is not unusual in itself, but this time I have a reason.
I have been given provisional offers from three areas. One of those offers is from my designated 'home' area. The question is this: 'who will contact me with the three offers?
Will it be all three areas?
Will it be central processing with all three offers?
or
Will it be my home area with all three offers, locations, start dates and position?
If it is all three individual areas, what happens then, do I have to still formalise my decision by e-mail or such?
Anyone who has been in this position, if you could clarify, I would be grateful.0 -
For anyone waiting in the North West:
I spoke to someone on the team dealing with the placements yesterday. She told me that offers are going out slowly but surely. She told me that I am likely to be given somewhere in Greater Manchester as there are few vacancies in the smaller Cheshire offices, and they would likely be taken by those nearer the top of the merit list.
She also advised me that they are hoping that all offers will be out by the END of next week (so much for the email saying it would be sorted by yesterday) but it could take even longer.0 -

I'm in the same position, just with 2 areas. I'd love to know the answer too!:)0 -

I had 2 offers as did a few of my friends, when I was called with my final offer, I asked about the other areas. she said she would check. She then gave me a call back with what the other areas was offering and asked which I wanted. My friends had very similar experiences hope this helps0 -

That's fantastic news. I've been quite concerned that one area will offer me somewhere and the other won't get in touch in time - forcing my hand so to speak. I can breathe a sigh of relief now.
Back to twiddling my thumbs it is!0 -
Someone on here said that after receiving your firm offer (by phone) you won't actually hear anything else until you actually start work. However today I received an email today with an attachment 'Posting New Entrant Letter' giving me details of the office I have been offered, who I should report to on my first day etc. It also gave details of the pension scheme.
It's put my mind at ease as I was a little worried at having handed in my notice at my current employer and only having had the offer verbally, but now I can relax0
