    Emailed today, still waiting x

Got a response this evening saying there's a delay and could be next week. I got a score of 41 and an existing cs so I was hoping it would be earlier!

My office allocation did not bear any relation to my choices on the form I was asked to send before the interview, although it was one of the many offices I ticked on the form I was given on the day of the interview. Big mistake to tick so many or just pot luck regardless. Anyone any insight ?

When I was given my location, I asked how they allocate and was told that where possible, they try to give you the office closest to your home address (makes sense) but that it does depend on scoring also...so if there were two of you within the same distance of office 'A', the person with the highest score would be offered it first.

Must have been quite some task allocating so many positions.
  • I sent an email on thursday, asking if they had any update or rough time scales for me since it was over a month since I accepted the offer. This is the response I got today (on a sunday!)
    Good afternoon,

We're still in the process of carrying out your pre-appointment check’s, once they have been complete satisfactory the vacancy holder will be in touch with you directly to arrange your take up duty details, you will have the opportunity to ask anything you’re not sure about including location.

    Kind regards,

    DWP Recruitment Team

Went for a little mosey up to the JCP I'm starting at today. So glad I didn't get my first choice! I never thought you could say this about a job centre but the location and building looks great! Good luck to all those still waiting...won't be long now I'm sure!

Due to further offers for NW you are now 31st on their waiting list. I cannot !All Districts must post in merit list order, therefore they need to ensure all checks are cleared and offers have been made to the candidates who are higher on the merit list than you.! They will contact you as they move down the list and vacancies become available to discuss start dates and location.! As you can appreciate this has been an extremely large and complex recruitment campaign and I’m sure you will agree staff currently working on it are working hard to ensure all candidates are treated correctly and fairly. I understand it is frustrating for you but the processes in place are necessary to protect both the candidate and the Department.

    Regards

Got this above _ was 49 last week with 35 points

    Intresting

I got the same reply yesterday although they addressed the email to Nicole, wrong name and sex lol
Replied asking them to advise what checks were outstanding as I am an existing CS and my department hasn’t been contacted etc this seems to be a blanket response to anyone still awaiting a start date
