Yeah good shot Sara, it is one think having a conversation on the phone, but a massive relief having it in writing. I know mine is coming, but until then, there is always that little niggle at the back of the mind isn't there.

    Well done, congratulations.

Remind me again Sara, you were Thames Valley weren't you? Where abouts is your posting?

For anyone waiting in the North West:
I spoke to someone on the team dealing with the placements yesterday. She told me that offers are going out slowly but surely. She told me that I am likely to be given somewhere in Greater Manchester as there are few vacancies in the smaller Cheshire offices, and they would likely be taken by those nearer the top of the merit list.
She also advised me that they are hoping that all offers will be out by the END of next week (so much for the email saying it would be sorted by yesterday) but it could take even longer.

I had my offer confirmed in the NW this week. I scored in the 40s but certainly have not ended up in a leafy Cheshire backwater.:rotfl:
Still, I feel it would be churlish to moan given how hard it was to get the job and the many thousands of people who would bite your hand off to be in this position. So, looking forward to the challenge !!

    Hi Guys

I've been following this site for months now!

I was just wondering if any South Yorkshire are still waiting for the "phone call"?

I accepted my offer last month and not heard anything else since

I was called today with an offer for the North West so the offers are definitely going out. Start date 25th June, and I got my first choice office, in Greater Manchester :)

Hi, I've just found your forum by accident and wonder if anyone could help me please? I've had a provisional offer subject to ore employment checks in the Thames Valley area. I scored 99988 on my interview. I haven't heard anything back from DWP and it's been about 5 weeks. Do they allocate jobs by region? As I can see some people have their start date in the Yorkshire area. Will I defiinately be offered a job if my ore employment checks are ok? They haven't contacted any of my references yet, so I'm a bit confused. I've sent my crb back, which was clear. I'm just getting a bit panicky!

    THanks if anyone can help.

Amy, I am TV as well, can I just say, with scores like that, you will be more than fine. Have you been told where you will be offered at all?

Seriously, don't panick, you are OK.
