However, as you were successful in achieving an offer, I personally would look into appealing the decision. To summarise, as we all know, it's been a long, time consuming process. You were made an offer. You had made it clear what you could work. They advertised AWP. Therefore I feel it's time they starting operating with transparency, clarity and a sense of urgency!!

I will like to second this. As long as you are sure you were transparent from the onset, I am sure they'll have to do something about this decision. This is not fair at all. After all, for you it is the difference of having the job and not having it. Good Luck!!!

Thank you for your comments. I asked about the right to appeal and was told their wasn't one. I'd be grateful to anyone who could point in the direction of a recruitment appeals process.

I've not even had my formal offer yet -38 points. No FT vacancies in Sheff! Guess It'll be Mexborough or Barnsley for me then!

Long time lurker here and first post. Received formal offer verbally and starting date. Does anyone a bit further along the process know if HR confirm this in writing or by email ?
