Xutl, it wasn't one I'd chosen and if you'd asked me a couple of months ago I wouldn't have wanted it, but I've heard what my old office is now like which puts me off going back, and all my friends are going to Newport so I'm more than happy with it.

Can anyone answer me this, does this job involve being in a contact/telephone centre environment, eg, us actually sitting at a desk all day taking constant telephone calls one after another? I have had OH on the phone regarding an adjustment I previously had in place and now waiting for an ATOS doctor to call me.... just starting to panic now. Why not ask questions like that at the beginning?

Vidallou, these are Job Centre roles, not BDC roles so to the best of my knowledge none of them will be call centre roles.

Thanks athenjam, Thats what I thought, hence the reason I never thought about my previous adjustment in a telephone centre. But now Im starting to panic that I have applied for a call centre position because of what the ATOS nurse said to me on the telephone Maybe, she was just talking generally.... lets hope so!!!

I think there can be CC roles though, moveable grade innit. The atos people can't do anything equipment wise short of requesting a DSE assessment (or that's what they told me yesterday). I wouldn't worry - it's just so adjustments (if necessary) can be sorted before you start
