Hi there, is there a reason you will not be accepting an offer if you get one? Did you apply for/and have offers from any other areas apart from BC?

I have another job offer - not with DWP - which will be closer to home. Did apply for other districts but think my score too far off to be hopeful. Just can't believe they would waste money and time doing CRB when they haven't even offered me job. Nevermind eh, least someone else will get a chance

Anyone from SE Wales lurking? I'm desperately checking my phone every 2 minutes just in case I didn't hear it ring!

Still waiting on SE and SW! :(
  • Today is winding me up. Literally left my phone for a second this morning for the first time in 5 weeks and came back to a missed call fom a blocked number, which I never get as I only give out my mobile number very selectively. No voicemail. My refs were contacted this morning and I also recieved my disclosure in the post so i'm fairly confident it was the dwp that called. Call back dammit!!
  • Still waiting to hear after accepting provisional job offer on 23 April but just wondered if any successful candidates had been offered an alternative full time working pattern e.g 9 day fortnight or compressed working week?

I spent sometime abroad working with a language institute, now my checks are being done , all ok, got a disclosure today. Offer accepted on 19 April, dwp has received 2 references and want some more, I got email asking for more referees from shsvcs debt. This does not look a usual department , it concerns me.

Dont worry - I needed a query answering regarding a reference a few weeks ago and emailed dwp recruitment - my reply came from shsvc debt email. just guessing that they are maybe doing some work for this recruitment in the debt dept too
