I think there can be CC roles though, moveable grade innit. The atos people can't do anything equipment wise short of requesting a DSE assessment (or that's what they told me yesterday). I wouldn't worry - it's just so adjustments (if necessary) can be sorted before you start :)

The problem is, my adjustment was to be removed from the telephones as I wasnt able to do call after call on a full time basis. I can answer a phone though, Im just panicking in case my job offer gets withdrawn now :(:(

Ahhhhhh, I see. I should think you'll be OK anyway - you're not unfit for employment, just contact centre work, which is most likely not what they'd be giving you anyway. Just means that they will know not to try and t/fer you into a CC once employed. :)

Vidallou, these are Job Centre roles, not BDC roles so to the best of my knowledge none of them will be call centre roles.

    Hi Guys

Depends on the region, as B&S are placing some people in Ravenshurt BDC as a friend of mine has been offered there :)

I guess I need to be prepared for my job offer to be withdrawn then.... If that happens I will be so annoyed! It says nowhere in the job description about call centre work. I was open and honest about my adjustment from the beginning, so dont understand why it would take them 5 months to finally highlight it as an issue...... I would honestly cry if I have went through all this for no reason!!! :(

I think I'm correct in thinking there are no EO roles on phones?? If you are in a call centre, you'll be managing AOs, so won't really be on phones.

That was my thinking, although was aware that you would have to take over any abusive calls etc (eg ' I demand to speak with a manager' !!) Who knows, suppose I need to stop panicking until I speak with the ATOS doctor now, another delay to my start date.....if I get one.lol. :wall:

Hey don't worry at all. You are not expected to be on phones full time in an EO role. I'll be shocked beyond belief if they withdrew the offer on these grounds at this late stage. Don't worry and stay calm. I have no doubt you'll have a confirmed offer soon, like many others on here :)

Thank you everyone, I knew that once I came on here and vented all my issues that you would all calm me down and make me feel better about the situation. I think when I speak with the ATOS doctor I may actually inform him that its not an AO role that I am applying for, maybe they are looking at my current file (current AO) so it may jsut be crossed wires on their part..... Fingers crossed. Will keep you all posted on what the doctors opinions are :):) Thanks again guys :):)

Vindallou I really would'nt worry, they are very accomadating. My friend has had a call from atos and said they are really nice and are just seeing how they can make working life easier. I very much doubt they would put you in a BDC in your circumstances.

Sorry if I scared you. I didnt read all the posts beforee opening my big gob x
