very good question. if 40 isn't high enough in the north east to secure a provisional offer, when it clearly is in other parts of the country then what on earth is the pass mark for this area????

Might call and ask them myself on Monday, just out of curiosity. In fact, scrub that. I will DEFO call and ask on Monday! x

Evidently the pass mark is either 41 or 42... whoa.

I received a score of 42 in Tyne/Wear and got a provisional offer.

The scoring is out of 45. You get max 9 points for each competency

I thought it was out of 10? 9 seems a strange number. So I thought 42 might not be good enough. My friend got 44, I've texted her but had no reply yet. Probably in the pub :beer: as if I got an offer surely she has.
What I find strange is why someone can get an offer with 31points but someone with 40 cant?

I did hear that there were only 18 jobs available in Tyne/Wear due to funding.

I interviewed in the north east and also got 40. I havent yet heard though, just checked now and still nothing.

Was in a good mood till i saw mackembill's post, I thought we had a good shot at a job straight off with a score of 40, but must have been really high in our area, bad times!

Find it weird I havent had an email yet like, bah!

Disappointing when others have secured positions on less but I guess it just goes to show that it really does depend on where you are in the country (postcode lottery) so those of you who have scored less don't give up hope. So we're in the same boat, eh? I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that we're all so much brighter up North, lol! Absolutely no disrespect to anyone elsewhere, but people are getting provisional posts on 31 points. We must have a chance with 40 points on the reserve. I wonder if it has anything to so with the offices we opted for.

I also heard that the vacancies in Tyne and Wear were far fewer than were actually advertised and as it seems provisional offers have been made, then it would appear that there is definitely a reserve list and its not just a ploy to delay issuing the results. Well such is life. I guess 40 was close but not close enough in this region lol x
