Weren't the positions advertised full time? I wonder how they'd work it if they're giving people job offers and then those people request part time hours as surely the staffing is worked out on a full time basis, so if people start asking for P/T hours then they'll need more staff but only P/T ones?

There are so many potential problems here.............they may turn down a lot of candidates that were willing to work full time hours, with their own transport enabling them to reach more far flung destinations...................over candidates that only want reduced hours ,without transport, unwilling to travel?
Lets face it guys...............is there really much difference in the employable potential of a person who scores 30 points at interview to a person who scores 45 points?
There has to be more to it than this?.............surely???

Well yesterday I received confirmation that I was on the reserve list and I'm thrilled to say that at 15.06 I got an email confirming my provisional offer!! I'm made up obviously but to anyone who was as nervous (or rather gutted) that you made/make that list as I was, don't give up hope. Good luck to all who are still waiting. Sorry that some down south (from where I'm actually from!) are having to wait so long...have a good weekend all and don't get too stressed!

The positions in B'ham and Black Country districts were advertised as FT or PT. On the day of my interview I had to tick the days and hours I was able to work and indicate whether I would be FT [37hrs] or PT [anything less than 37]
  • As a band c youvare on a mobile grade. So you will be expected at amy point in your contract to possibly work at other offices upto 90 mins from your home address. So travel distance doesnt necessarily come into it. Its scores & districts/offices youve applied for. :)
  • Hi all,

Anyone heard from South London? I had an interview on March 17th along with a friend of mine.

She got her rejection email on Wednesday :(, I'm still waiting trying to be cool -!!
