Hi,
Only just found this forum, wish I'd have found it earlier.
When you are all posting your scores out of 45 are they your interview scores?
I got 9 9 9 9 9 in the interview.
I'm from the Sheffield area, anybody else heard anything0 -
Hi all,
I've been going it alone since Jan, only found this forum a couple of days ago. Not sure if it was for the best or not - as feel more wound up than ever now ;0)
I'm waiting to hear from SE Wales with a 77777, which prior to finding this forum I thought was pretty good, but now I'm not so sure. Desperately want to succeed as paying the mortgage is a struggle at the mo, and this would help out considerably + worked for JCP previously as an EO and only left due to hubbie being in the AF and posted abroad - if only we had a magic mirror into the future and could see the impact of our decisions eh?
Congrats to all those getting the news they wanted, and commiserations to those who didn't. To those of you, like myself who seemed to be doomed to another weekend of high anxiety - I hope you find something to distract you over the weekend and good luck next week xx0 -
NOT CONFIRMED, but just herd some Chinese whispers from a friend who works at DWP that they are releasing results from NORTH to SOUTH so the Manchester, BC and Birmingham should find out early or mid next week, which is frustrating for me aswell, now i gotta find motivation and self determination to get of this forum all weekend till atleast Monday but i know its not going to happen!!! why couldnt they just do it all at once BANG BANG BANG done. but instead they just wanna be bloody awkward! ok i guess u guys probably reading this thinking hes lost the plot so i shall stop.
good luck to every one, see how long i can stay without posting now lol0 -

How very strange!
Gutting if you live in Lands End - Great if you live in Jon O'Groats!0 -
Hmmm, see, I applied for the North East but as my home district is SE Wales I was informed that I would hear about the Welsh one first....what I was told is that any news will come from your home district before any other. Not sure how true that is though.0

I am still sitting waiting (NE) and it is driving me mad. One thing I think people should remember, is that posts can't be given purley on scores. They have to take what you are like as person into account. You may be able to talk the talk, but can you walk the walk? I knew some one who got into teacher training because she was hot on all the lingo and subject knowledge and teaching stratergies. The kids hated her, she couldn't relate to them at all and ended up being asked to leave. Someone may have scored top marks, but actually be really rubbish at getting on with people in a face to face situation. I hope that this is taken into account.0

I hate to say this, but that is not the impression i am getting. Each stage of the process is a hurdle to pass and the successful applicants will go through based solely on the last hurdle (interview score). I maybe wrong but that is what i have heard so far from internal sources.0 -
It's definitely scores only. That's why it's a competency interview. I do think it is a very flawed process as anybody can go in there and get lucky. But many employers do it these days unfortunately.0
