Its driving me mad. I currently work for DWP in surrey and sussex one of my colleagues applied for surrey and sussex and she got her rejection yesterday!!

I am an FTA from the previous recruitment process. My friend who also was an fta got his rejection on Thursday.
I went to sign-on yesterday and the staff were telling me that some people in the office that had applied had received rejections and some had been offered provisional offers.
They also said that they're only looking for people that scored 40 and above at interview, which makes me think I've got no chance, but I live in hope

    Good Luck
  • They said they are starting pre-recruitment checks and they will be in touch after they are clear they will be back in touch to give me an offer. Alarmingly the preference form wasn't mentioned. I put Glasgow down on that, so hoping they done get back with an offer that is in East Dumbartonshire as that would be an 1.5 hour commute each way. Not the end of the world, but not something I want ideally.

I used to work for them in Glasgow, so ideally would want back into my old office because I still keep in touch with a lot of colleagues, but realistically that's probably not going to happen. Having said that I've been really lucky with the whole process, because I didnt score very highly on the application form, so was lucky to get an interview in the first place! However, I seem to be have been one of the first to receive an offer from this thread, so hoping I'm fairly high up on the list, but then my surname is likely to be one of the first alphabetically so that might of had an impact.

I will keep this thread updated with my progress to give everyone else an indication of how long they are likely to wait in their own application.
Hi there, I'm a new poster to this thread though have been following it faithfully since the start. I'm currently employed in the Glasgow Lanarkshire and east Dunbartonshire district and also got an offer the other day, I just wondered if you knew that Glasgow city isn't part of our district? The Glasgow and east dunbartonshire offices in our district include cambuslang, Kirkintilloch, rutherglen, and Cumbernauld. I hope this is something you already know, cos id hate you to be disappointed. I would have applied for Glasgow city but I don't remember seeing it! Congratulations, maybe working with you soon, who knows! X

I may be wide of the mark, but I think you applied for just about every area known to man. You will only get one offer and that will be the place they understand to be your home or preferred area. I don't know what address you used for your application but I would think it was the one nearest your accepted post.

I'm sure I was told that multiple applications will be met with only one offer if successful.

That said, your rejection at 35 points may be very well explained

Hi, I should say, in regards to wizzywazzy's rejection or north scotland(?) I discussed this with my seo who said the scores for Scotland all had the same cut off. My score was less than 35. I've had a provisional offer for the 3 districts I applied for. I've rejected two of them and accepted my home district. Just to let you know.

My DH (Hants and IOW) also received a location form request yesterday afternoon @ 1615. This request came from a named person at the head office for Hants/IOW. It said that even if you had previously returned one to 'workforcemanagement' that they needed it completed again. Unlikely for anything else to happen this weekend as Auto Reply (after he returned the form) said that it would be dealt with on Monday 23 April.

Anyway, looks like things slowly starting to happen down south, hooray! Going to stay optimistic and take it as a positive :)

    Happy weekend everyone. Tabs

Hi everyone first time posting here but have been watching this forum for a while now. Unimaginative I also applied for Glasgow and west scotland districts but unfortunately I've been wait listed as my interview score is 28. At present I am working but in a menial job with min wage and desparately want this job. I also was a FTA AO till last year and I enjoyed it immensely. Is it possible for you to tell me your scores? I just want to know is there any chance for me to get back in again within 6 months or sooner.

I applied for North West and have just had the following email today!!!

Thank you for attending your recent interview for the above position in the Department for Work and Pensions.

I am pleased to tell you that you have been successful at the interview for the above exercise.

I am writing to make you a provisional offer of employment. This is a provisional offer because it is subject to the satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks. If the outcome of these checks is satisfactory, we will contact you again to confirm your start date, the details and location of the post and the terms of the contract.
In the meantime, if you are employed, please do not hand in your notice until we have contacted you again to confirm that all pre-employment checks are completed satisfactorily and with the specific details of the post to be offered.
