I did not receive an email, but I found this form and message asking me to return it by yesterday morning when I logged into the civil service jobs website. It was under a heading on the left 'communications' it seemed to have been posted on 26 Jan. I completed it but not by the deadline.:(

I received an email for each area I applied for, so if you didn't I would send them an email drawing their attention to this. It's worth raising it with them rather than risk being out of the running because you missed the deadline.

Also check as per their advice:

    1) Receipt of the form, if you have not received it at all or you have received the wrong form please see the list below and select the link to the correct form for each of your applications. If you have applied for more than one exercise then please submit the appropriate form for each one. Please also check in CS Jobs that the email account that you listed as your correspondence email as this is the only one we will use and only send communications to that address. This can be done by logging into CS Jobs and then into the ‘Update Account Details’ link at the left hand side of the screen.

I have checked under "View Communication" half a dozen times and I haven't received ANYTHING about this location form. I only have two emails - one link to the situation test and one "view the status of your application". I'm applying for the North West so if other people from the NW have received their form, then I'll start to worry.

Something I have just thought about re the volume of applications - I was made to apply for this job by the JC at my last sign in day.
I was also told that each adviser had to get few of his/her clients to apply.

Now, as this is put onto the file, one has to apply or there are sanctions.

Just a thought on why so many people applied for those jobs.....

I was also made to, although I also wanted to. I was told by my Job Centre advisor that each advisor had to put forward at least 6 people from their case load. He has subsequently told me that a lot of people he put forward failed the test so I'm assuming he put forward at least a few people who weren't really interested in the job.

I did not particularly want to apply (salary - a joke really, in London)
That would make sense re the number of applicants though

An ex colleague has told me he has been made perm in his EO role so in this region at least they already know how many have had their FTA made permanent.

Also the date for AO roles going live is 6th Feb so I assume this is the date they aim to complete any internals so they can advertise AO positions. I'll be applying for my old job back :D

AA - Admin Assistant (lowest grade)

AO - Admin Officer (next grade up)

EO - Executive Officer (1st level of management in Civil Service)

FTA - Fixed term appointment methinks.
