Sorry but how is 1200 a half of 4000?

    Am I missing something?

Have nto heard anythig from DWP yet, frankly I am not over the moon about prospect for working for this kind of money in London but still... curiosity more than anything else really.. Unless I got the job in the JC that is a walking distance from home.. then I would not mind the starvation wages LOL
I'm sorry I don't know what the total number of positions is/was. The only region I applied for was advertised as EO, no mention of AO, I guess it would depend on the number of internal staff who apply and move up a grade leaving AO posts available. I have only specified locations within a 20 minute drive of my home address. I also don't fancy the wages after you take out high travel costs! lol.

quick question does anyone know how this works
DWP is committed to the employment and career development of disabled people. A practical demonstration of this is our Disability Symbol accreditation. As symbol users we have made a firm commitment to guarantee interviews to all disabled applicants who: meet the minimum criteria for the vacancy advertised at the application and testing stages of the selection process; have or have had in the past a disability or long term health condition, which has (or had) a substantial disadvantage on their day to day living; and the disability has or is likely to last at least 12 months.

how do they guarentee an interviwew and how could you proove that you definatly havent met criteria if they do not give you an interview

Sorry to bring this up again, but I'm confused. If that's the case, how come someone applying in the London region achieved almost exactly the same raw scores as me and were rated 90th percentile (or so they posted on here) but in my region (SW) that score put me in 65th percentile?

Almost exactly the same? Believe it or not what appears to be minor differences in score can mean a big difference in percentile. It also seems to be weighted heavier towards the first score, so if you scored better in the analysis you tend to get a better overall percentile.

    73% is above average.

My understanding from the guy on the DWP Recruitment Help desk was that if I hadn't already received an email stating I was unsuccessful, then I was through to the next round. However I can't see them interviewing 75,000 candidates so I guess it now gets sifted again based on competency statements. Interestingly it did say on my location preferences form that that wouldn't be used as criteria to rule out candidates. I have no idea how they will interview though, I would imagine a central location for each region and everyone goes there?

    AO + EO vacancies = 4000

They have advertised 2400 EO posts (of which the union believes half will be filled internally via redeployment etc).

They will then post the AO vacancies once the EO exercise is completed as they won't know how many staff will be promoted internally until then.

    That's a bit clearer then.
  • does anyone know if after scoring the minimum passmark on the test, that they will look at/mark the competancies,or will they just set a particular pass mark,eg:70percent and then only sift through those applications to mark competancies and then decide who to interview?
