Queen Matilda , you were in hr and sacked three staff members and u forgot to mention next part of story... On the basis of unreasonable behaviour ,You were fired.... and now you want to get this EO job desperately.you know how you come up, I even don't want to reason out and don't find you worthy of it. You are just mad and I seriously doubt your scores. Stay away from this forum- oh no! Actually you are most welcome, I get bored sometime and your rant makes me laugh.

I wonder how they'll decide who works where? For example, say there are 3 candidates - 1 got 42, 1 got 46 and 1 got 39 and they are all on the merit list waiting for job offers, but the higest scoring one will work in office a,b,c,d or e, the second highest only wants to work in a or b and the third will work in a,b or c, would they offer the highest scoring person a choice of offices or would the DWP work it out on separate lists for each office or something? Does that make any sense? Maybe my brain isn't working well (it is Monday!) but I can't work out how they'd decide where each person will go.

From my understanding the highest scorers will get their first choice of office/location (depending on if there are vacancies in that office.)
After that, I think candidates who scored less will be given a choice from offices that still have vacancies - hope that makes sense!

They will decide on the basis of merit list, the person on top merit list will have a choice to shoose From a,b ,c,d but the person on the bottom will have no choice. They will be offered to work in far far land , district d. The person at bottom of merit list will eitHer take it or refuse it.
  • Does anyone know how we'll be informed whether we are a) on merit list & position, b) job offer. Am sure some of you have been through this process before (FTAs?). Is it likely to be phone call and/or letter? Thanks :)

Last time we had a phone call. They ring people in order depending on scores. A friend of mine scored higher than me last time and she had "the call" the day before me. Then a writen confirmation was sent if you said ok to the call. May be different this time because everything has been done on line this time but this was how it happened last time. Also they sent out rejection letters first so again they will probably send those emails before giving people job offers.
  • Dear Queen Matilda,

Where do you get off coming on here and bashing all the good people who just want to get a job or achieve a promotion?

You obviously sound very self assured and confident of your own abilities.

You say the civil service if full of ‘incompetent lazy bureaucrats’ – have you met every single civil servant?

You say people civil servants are only interested in their salary, does this mean no one in the private sector is?

I think you need to think about whether the civil service is for you as you definitely aren’t Mrs Nice so will find it extremely hard to deal with customers and colleagues on a daily basis as you need people skills.

On a final note, your scores are good but this incompetent lazy bureaucrat achieved higher.

    Regards.

    I agree...
Come on people lets not get drawn into these troll like posts, just ignore them and concentrate on the posts of real interest.

Would love to know when we will start to hear of whether or not we will be offered jobs. The waiting for each phase has been quite frustrating.. but its great to hear when people start to get news, it gives us all something to look forward to or not lol...

What will be will be... ;)
