I did tell them this in the interview in one of my competencies of how i sacked 3 staff on the spot not becuase they were incapable of doing the job but because they spent more time gossiping and afffecting the performance of our top recruiters. Should have seen DWPs faces when i said this.
My concern is that most people on here HAVE NO IDEA how to get people into work.
YOU CANT BE MR NICE OR MISS NICE. YOU HAVE TO BE TARGET DRIVEN HUNGARY AND DETERMINED. The recruitment company I work for has a staff success rate of 1/40 nationally. Alot of people drown because they aren't hardworking, or creative or resilient enough. They arent able to open doors.
I'm doing this as I want to give something back because the public sector is full of incompetent lazy bureaucrats who are more interested in the salary than achieiving something. People claim they want to help but most people are unable to do the job. They have no idea where to find a job yet alone get in contact with the right person to find the job. Interviews in the private sector are tougher than the public sector.
This is a tough world. Its a tough country. Its very competitive. If you haven't been able to find a job since leaving university, or have been unemployed for more than a month WHAT HAVE YOU REALLY GOT YOU OFFER?
My fear is that this process is in fact recruiting the wrong kind of people. Its recruiting box tickers and not rule challengers. To be creative you have to take risks. You have to do things that challenge the norm and i do wonder if the dwp are going to give people the remit to do it. I could find anyone a job. When you are in recruitment you learn tricks.
I hope i get the job and i hope dwp employs people with my mentality and experience hence we would clean up the unemployment crisis with the young. My fear is they are recrutinng inexperienced tick box yes men and women.
OMG!!! you really need to get off your high horse. There is absolutly no need to be so arrogant.
Having recruitment experience will not make you the perfect advisor. Being an advisor is about helping people to overcome their barriers to employment not just shoving them into any available job.
It's about finding people sustainable employment.
Many of the people on this forum understand that to be successful in the role you need to be able to identify with people, to help them achieve not to belittle them as you are doing.0 -

Just a couple of questions.
If you are so good, what happened to your job in recruitment?
If you have been in recruitment, why the mediocre scores?
What has HUNGARY got to do with any of this.
Finally, get off your egotistical trip and show more respect to this forum.0 -

I think Mr Cameron might have something to say if you think you can change the rules lol. I have had people sit infront of me having a moan about the process in JCP and although personally I may agree with them from time to time there are rules and they have to be adhered to. I think if you think you are going to walk into the job all guns blazing and start telling people how you are going to run the show you won't last 5 minutes. Your colleagues will hate you and your HEO will tear you to shreads in your 1 to 10 -

My partner got her interview scores back today for Birmingham & Solihull. She got 55564! I hope this is enough!
Just a observation i have made over the course of this thread is that a lot of high scores being posted seem to be of higher volume in certain areas, like Birmingham interview scores seem to be lower in general?
Maybe its just me, but this seems to be the case?
Matt
Hi Matt, those scores are really good. Your partner really deserves to get a post!:)
I was told at the Brum interview that there will be a merit list and a waiting list. I was assured that most people on the waiting list will be recruited within 6mths as they believe that people will 'drop off' the merit list or move/change job.
I was also told that the training period would be 20weeks - during this time people may find that the job isn't what they wanted.
I see this as positive news as there may still be a chance for me if I don't get on the merit list. [I've chosen not to check my interview scores as I haven't got a clue what they will mean, lol!]
Good luck and fingers crossed!
Oh, and yes I do agree that scores seem to be massively higher elsewhere but I haven't seen many Brum scores listed on here0 -
God Redsky77... I dont know how you are not tempted to look at your scores from your interview. The chances of them being there now are very high.. Wished in some screwed up way i didnt know how i had done now. Not going to let it spoil Mothers Day though!!!!:D0

QueenMatilda.... you're lucky you didn't apply a few years back when you had to do a spot the grammar/spelling error test to get to the interview stage.
"Your to nice"..... that's what you said to somebody in here. I can spot two mistakes in just three words. Sort it out love eh?0 -
I was hoping the same thing.
I've been looking out for any Birmingham scores too.
I recieved 6, 7, 5, 6, 8.
I really hope it's enough.
Good luck to you both.
Hope we all find something soon.0
