My partner got her interview scores back today for Birmingham & Solihull. She got 55564! I hope this is enough!
Just a observation i have made over the course of this thread is that a lot of high scores being posted seem to be of higher volume in certain areas, like Birmingham interview scores seem to be lower in general?
Maybe its just me, but this seems to be the case?
Matt
I've noticed that too, the few London scores that have come back have seemed generally lower too.0 -

I didnt use any notes and i used fives different job experiences for 5 different competencies as i wanted to show to them that I'm not a robot, I'm not a bureaucrat and if they REALLY WANT to fix the unemployed then they need people like me who have the experience of getting people into work. I did tell them this in the interview in one of my competencies of how i sacked 3 staff on the spot not becuase they were incapable of doing the job but because they spent more time gossiping and afffecting the performance of our top recruiters. Should have seen DWPs faces when i said this.
My concern is that most people on here HAVE NO IDEA how to get people into work.
YOU CANT BE MR NICE OR MISS NICE. YOU HAVE TO BE TARGET DRIVEN HUNGARY AND DETERMINED. The recruitment company I work for has a staff success rate of 1/40 nationally. Alot of people drown because they aren't hardworking, or creative or resilient enough. They arent able to open doors.
I'm doing this as I want to give something back because the public sector is full of incompetent lazy bureaucrats who are more interested in the salary than achieiving something. People claim they want to help but most people are unable to do the job. They have no idea where to find a job yet alone get in contact with the right person to find the job. Interviews in the private sector are tougher than the public sector.
This is a tough world. Its a tough country. Its very competitive. If you haven't been able to find a job since leaving university, or have been unemployed for more than a month WHAT HAVE YOU REALLY GOT YOU OFFER?
My fear is that this process is in fact recruiting the wrong kind of people. Its recruiting box tickers and not rule challengers. To be creative you have to take risks. You have to do things that challenge the norm and i do wonder if the dwp are going to give people the remit to do it. I could find anyone a job. When you are in recruitment you learn tricks.
I hope i get the job and i hope dwp employs people with my mentality and experience hence we would clean up the unemployment crisis with the young. My fear is they are recrutinng inexperienced tick box yes men and women.
Why are you so bitter?
You've applied for a job where you will be working with people, with some that you may not like but you'll have to work as a team. Yet you don't come across as a people person.
I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt, because maybe you've had a bad day.
You have got pretty good scores for your interview so why not try to be supportive and happy for others.
Hoping the rest of your weekend improves.0 -

Plenty of parking round there. Just opposite Gmex, so you could use that parking.
Good luck. If we are both successful, we might be sharing a desk!
Thanks, I would be very grateful for any feedback you could give me as I've seen very few posts from our region. Very best of luck for Monday and hope it goes well.0 -

go and do customer service for a bank. DWP NEED SERIOUS TOUGH PROFESSIONALS who are going to fix this problem. Your to nice, to soft your just a teddy bear and the unemployed will eat you for breakfast.
Just another incompetent potential bureaucrat who is more obsessed with being nice and kind than getting things done.
5 years experience in recruitment never been sacked. What experience do you have in finding someone long term unemplyed a job?
My experience in recruitment is that my last job was working for JCP.
My job prior to that was Regional Manager, again it involved recruiting.
I am able to do my job to my full potential and successfully and be nice.0 -

In fact unbelievably it was within approx 3 hours. I had been told at the interview that I would have feedback within 2 days - go figure. I nearly fell off my chair when I saw it. By the way I got five 8's so fingers crossed.
I currently work in the civil service - not the dwp but perhaps as a civil servant this negates the need for further checks and speeds up certain aspects of the process, but this is just conjecture. I cannot explain the reason why I and other people have had almost immediate feedback but what we can agree on, is that country wide there seem to be massive discrepencies in the way this exercise has been conducted so this latest revelation really shouldn't be a huge surprise.
my advice to anyone who still has an interview to come would simply be, know your competencies inside out, think of a couple of back up competencies and know those too. Really don't stress about anything. My experience was straightforward, the interviewers were really nice.
the most valuable tip i can give you is that if they stop writing (one writes and one asks questions) then you have stopped saying anything relevant, so change your thread fast, and if they are asking lots of questions then you are not saying what they want to hear
in short if they are not asking many questions and spend a lot of time writing, you are doing well
good luck xx
I can't really agree. My partner had such a smooth interview. Has got 3,2,4,3,4. They hardly prompted and were writing a lot. Also, competency score was 7,7,8,8,8 so examples were strong.0 -
Hi Chick
Good scores. I also scored 40 points.
Did you apply for Durham or Tyne and Wear/Northumberland?
Or did you apply for both? I interviewed in Tyne and Wear last week and there were seven panels ongoing that day. I was also advised that letters for T&W would hopefully be out from 21 March with potential starts on 12 April although that was flexible. Additionally, I was told that job offers would be based solely on interview score and not where you were applying from and also that location choice for successful applicants would be given to the highest performers desired choices first.
Mixed messages again, eh?0 -

sorry but you have just repeated your self in two different posts. sound more like a robot then other posters.
so you have good exp and but saying your SERIOUS TOUGH apporch is the best way to help those seeking work is wrong. some people respond better to a carrot than a stick.0 -
QueenMatilda, i think you should withdraw your application for the EO role and wait for the Chief Exec position to arise!
Sounds like your going to be wasted!0 -
Back to the more important posts!
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! Self belief is the key0
