oh, does anyone know how/when we will be notified if successful? email/phone call etc? I asked at interview but they weren't sure and just said a few weeks but didn't know the comms method

As you will be aware, the process thus far has been conducted electronically. Those interviewed (I am told), will be advised by letter. I was told that letters were planned to go out from the 21-03-12 but this may delayed a couple of days. That may be Geordie region specific.

I now have something to divulge for anyone from a south coast region, which I cannot name in case the thread is monitored and my source is compromised. This is genuine information.

This particular southern English region has set their interview pass mark at 30 points.

So far their success rate at interview is approximately 35%. That means around 1 in 3 interviewed have achieved their pass mark of 30 interview points (5 competency accumulative score). That is broadly in line with the number of interviews per vacancy that they operated (a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 7 is DWP policy, I believe).

I'm not suggesting this is the same across all regions but it is a policy in at least one.

My thoughts are that it may be that they know that the expected pass rate to be offered a post is around the 30 mark and my correspondent has put it to me as I delivered it above.

I imagine in London areas this may be significantly lower. They find it harder to recruit as wage structures that appear generous in northern areas are poor in the south east. However, that is only my own personal opinion based on what has been posted here regarding low test score pass rates etc in the London regions compared to elsewhere.

Has anyone heard anything from the Coventry Sift. Covering warcs/Hereford and worcs. It seems the one area that's been quiet on here.

I know that Durham are interviewing next week and I believe some areas of the Midlands and London.

I think the North East are concluded. I would imagine Glasgow is also completed by now.

Which other areas are yet to interview or have finished?

Thanks John...just you sort yourself out and more importantly, your competencies.

I'd like to offer you one more bit of advice that you may have not considered as it is so obvious.

I believe you said that you work as a security guard team leader in a JCP office. If so, think of how many HEOs or even EOs etc that you know who you could approach for a few minutes of their time to coach you on competency writing and interview techniques. Use the tools at your disposal, including people you know.

    Good luck.
