I think its safe to say its probably in relation to goldilockz frozen test, otherwise others would have posted by now.0 -
Yes my wife has the same email. Applicants who could not complete the test are invited to retest. Basically if you had an error msg when trying to complete it online you can re-sit it.
Just make sure your firewalls not restricted and youve deleted your cookies.0 -

and you get double the time to do it in. That doesn't seem fair on those of us that were struggling to get it done in the 75 minutes. Its all very bizarre...0 -

Maybe its a different test?

Is it the same test? If so, I agree it's unfair that it's so long. However, if it's a different test, a duration of 2.5 hours, it's unfair it's so long! However, I won't be able to sit it before midnight so I can safely say that's me out of the race. Very best of luck to the rest of you though, looking forward to reading about your prrogress.0 -
A friend of mine also applied but had special requests for health condition and was allocated more time. Maybe this has something to do with that?
I'm clutching at straws I guess, I didn't do very well0 -

I received this e-mail this morning and wondered if anyone else did/ what it means:
You have been invited to complete the Civil Service Initial Sift On Line Assessment.
Please note, this test should be completed by midnight on Wednesday 25/01/2012.
You will have a maximum of 150 minutes to complete this online assessment. You should make sure you have set aside enough time to complete the test and that you are in a quiet environment where you will not be interrupted for the duration of the test.
Once you have started the test, you must complete it in one sitting and you will be given full instructions about the test before you begin.
If you require any particular arrangements (for example due to a disability or health problem) to be made in order for you to complete the on-line test, you MUST contact the e-mail address at the end of this message BEFORE accessing the on-line test.
Please ensure you have full internet connection for the duration of the test.
More speculation on my part but it sounds like it's the same test due to your 'freezing' problems. It says it's a MAXIMUM of 150mins. It doesn't say it WILL take 150mins. It's probably DWP's way of saying 'sorry' and 'don't panic coz you have enough time to finish it if needed'.
But, as I said, more speculation on my part.0 -
It was far easier when i got my EO fixed term in 2009......
Would hope they see my EO expereince on my application during the sift and it gains a few extra credits.
Would love to stay with local government but my fixed term ends in November, so need to be on the ball early.0
