DWP Recruiting Again - 2012

All I can say about E London apps is that competencies WILL be marked at some point (the interview), though not (obviously) at the sifting stage. Whether or not this consitutes an advantage to an applicant is moot, since they will be at an interview, presumably among a suitably small number of people and thus with a better chance of success. You'd think.0

Does this mean then, if you failed your competencies for another district you won't be invited to interview for East London even though it's your home district?
All applicants are supposed to be marked against the same criteria, no?
So essentially if East London are not scoring competencies, applicants who have applied for multiple districts (including e. london) should not have their competency scores pass/fail from other districts taken into consideration for their East London app?
Someone I know initially received an email re: unsuccessful due to competencies from a London Dt and then received an interview invite from E London a few days later. However, another email was received from the other London Dt stating an error was made. Only one interview has been booked and E Lon is the home district. Hope this information helps.0 -

Yea I applied E/N/S/W London based in East.
To be honest this job is a backup/last resort for me and so I didn't spend much time on the form. The fact the app competencies were ignored has been an advantage to me as on further examination they don't fit well with the detailed descriptors in the competency PDF.0 -
Assume your int is with East then Brett?
Re 2989 I wonder if the corrected mail was sent since no competencies are required for ints in E London? Even if your friend's comps were below par for W, S or N London, that should not exclude under the circumstances.
I'd like to know from which part of London the fail mail came, though!0 -
It is quite possible I imagined the two fellas I was waiting with and chatting with for twenty minutes both said their interviews were at the same time as mine. It is also possible that we got called into a room with three tables too sign and organise our paperwork with three tables and three assistants to collate it all. It is also possible we then got called into three seperate interviewsat the same time. Surely with all the inconsistencies already exposed on this thread this really is a non issue? I can only speak for Essex and trying to second guess each regions interview processes would be really silly.0

Does anyone know how long it takes for interview feedback to be uploaded to cs jobs? Have phone HR they didn't know ... hate waiting.0

That would be equitable but I can't see it happening.0 -
I had a 90+ test score too. Maybe they are saving the best till last. LOL:D
Or not. I finally got through to the recruitment line, the nice helpful person went to check with colleagues, took a while, said his reliable information is that the sift is ongoing (confirmed 61% cutoff - reported by A10 & someone else in earlier posts) and we should be receiving 'feedback' and interview invitations in the next few days. I asked what he meant by feedback, since my friends and acquaintances received interview invites without their competencies being evaluated. He said: your competencies will be marked. (from now on?).0 -
