OK I'm going to digress here as I know it is more than feasible for there to be two or more inteviews available under each interview slot shown on the interview booking scheme. In my prior work life I have been a computer programmer and know how easy it is to have a database with cells designated each date/time and beneath that there be 1 or more subcells depending on how many interview panels they have available
Of course this is possible, however with the browser interface it would be unnecessarily complicated. I could go into further detail but we shall see soon enough.
Most of the jobs that are posted on the civil service website are only available to existing civil servants and tend to be single post exercises where a single panel will interview all sifted applicants.0 -

No it wouldn't - it would be exaclty as it appears now. Nothing too complicated really. I have designed and implemented similar systems. Now if the CS could address the missing 's' after the http in their links to required documents that would be highly appreciated0 -
Well I'm leaving shortly for my interview and to say I'm nervous is an understatement. I have made myself even more stressed out reading all the sub headings on the competancy framework so am praying I don't get asked anything too specific.
Wish me luck!0 -

The former if you discount all multiple district applicants who have received competency marks. I know of people who applied to other districts and had competencies marked, if they failed to score above 3 then they haven't received interviews even if E London is their home district. This is one of the reasons the E London interviews have been amongst the last to go out.
Just over 2000 applicants in East London passed the test, because of the transport links (i.e TFL) and the way the districts are made up the vast majority of people applied to more than one London district.
Does this mean then, if you failed your competencies for another district you won't be invited to interview for East London even though it's your home district?
All applicants are supposed to be marked against the same criteria, no?
So essentially if East London are not scoring competencies, applicants who have applied for multiple districts (including e. london) should not have their competency scores pass/fail from other districts taken into consideration for their East London app?0 -
The booking system works off a database, if a slot is booked it is removed from the list and the entry is stored in the Database and a email is posted.
It may be possible to "book" the same slot twice but even if that occurs it would likely overwrite the first booking slot. If for example you try and re-arrange your interview your slot is not displayed, even though it is now available. You would have to go out of the site and back in for the slot to be displayed again and I tested this.
Despite your views of the "DWP" the website software follows very strict rules on what is and what is not allowed, so I say it's impossible baring a bug within the system.
When I went for my interview on saturday there were 8 people being interviewed at the same time every hour from nine till two. x0
