  • On the last recruitment there were 3 of us waiting at the same time. We all went into different rooms. At the same time. Hope this helps.

I still haven't heard anything regarding interview or rejection from either West Yorkshire or North West. From what Ivy and Panno have said, I should be getting an interview for West Yorkshire.

I've asked this before but didn't get an answer: What happens if where you've applied isn't your 'home area'? Neither West Yorkshire nor North West (Manchester) is my home area. That's Lancashire but the jobs there were only for internal applicants.
Hi Pixiechick, don't know if this is of any help but I have friends who have received their rejection emails Yesterday from West Yorks, when I booked my slot on Sunday (and rescheduled Yesterday) still lots of slots available.
    Hope you hear soon xx

The were all booked clerically if you recall, applications were sent by email, sifted by region and applicants were tested locally en-mass (100 at a time in E London). People were told at the time if they had passed or failed then and there.

Then interviews were booked, in my case as soon as all failed applicants had left the room.

Has anyone been invited to interview for North Scotland yet?

Checked my status again. Still nothing. Anybody left to find out their scores yet or is it just me?

I am still hanging in playing the waiting game for South London so you are not alone

OK I'm going to digress here as I know it is more than feasible for there to be two or more inteviews available under each interview slot shown on the interview booking scheme. In my prior work life I have been a computer programmer and know how easy it is to have a database with cells designated each date/time and beneath that there be 1 or more subcells depending on how many interview panels they have available

So say they have 3 interview panels available and people are booking interviews. One person clicks on 11:30 on 9th March and the program running the system would check that cell in the database. Currently all 3 subcells are empty as no-one else has clicked this time. Once the person clicks confirm one subcell is filled. But two are still available so 11:30 on the 9th is still showing as available for people to book interviews. Only when all 3 subcells are full would the 11:30 slot on 9th March be removed from the interview selection screen.

I suspect this is what is happening as several people yesterday stated they had booked interviews for the 2nd week of the B'ham interview schedule yet when I went in to change my time I saw all times slots still available in that 2nd week. However 2 slots had vanished from the first Monday - I assume because all subcells had been filled.

That would be because I have worked for the DWP and other areas of the civil service.

I wasn't offended at the "impossible" comment but it suggests something which I know shouldn't possibly happen due to the way the website was designed (barring a bug which is always possible).

What does irritate me though are WUM's and scaremongers.

If you are implying that I am WUM or scaremongering, I recommend that you read my other posts. I was only relating what has happened and do not wish to be a mechanism to scare anyone. Henceforth, I will continue following the forum which I have found very useful and stop giving any input.

I remember doing the paper test on mass in a classroom environment. We were told to wait and basically if you had a small envelope you knew you had failed and the larger envelope you had an interview with the dates an times of the interview in the pack. But I was just saying when I got to the interview a few weeks later their were 3 interviewing rooms and 3 of us waiting it was a Sunday morning. I do know in some areas people were interviewed straight away if they had passed the test but this didn't happen in my case.

I for one don't believe you are a WUM as it is more than logical and possible in my mind that 2 or more people can have interviews at the same time as I have explained in my e-mail above. I believe any input we can get is important so please reconsider giving your input - it is appreciated I assure you.
  • Brett: congrats on your int, but for which of the London districts you applied to is it?
