Congrats to those who got interviews and to gettingready on the NHS job! Still waiting to find out if my comps were good enough.

Does anyone know how they're handling multiple applications now? I haven't gotten competency scores for anywhere other than my home district so I'm guessing that they'll be the ones used in all my other applications but when it comes to interviews is it the case that if any place want to interview you then you'll be interviewed or only if your "home" wants to??? Hmm...

I think only your home district (based on postcode) is scoring you, so they will mark you and decide if you are through to interview, the other districts will take their lead from that. That's how it seems to have worked judging by peoples stories on here anyway.

Thought I'd give an update for others who may have applied for London districts.

I'm not sure if this applies to all of them but I have a friend who's made some enquiries internally for me.

Basically they will make a decision by the end of next week who is being called in for interview, I've been told they won't be sifting based on the competencies due to the sheer number and time constraints.

Instead it will be based on your test and the panel will have your competencies available during the interview but will also want additional examples.

Bear in districts have autonomy so it may vary with the others.

I guess my inside source was right about east london.

That appears to be the case unless another district marked you first in which case some have been reset or carried over. The whole process has been inconsistent. Then again its not as bad as the last time I did this exercise when a certain recruitment firm was doing the exercise

I'm a bit confused about my application status, I failed to get through for my "home county" as the passmark was raised, I've had a rejection e-mail for that area, but for my other district they have populated all comps with 1's with no comments or feedback and it says to refer to my home district for my proper score and detailed feedback, but as I failed to get through in my home area I have no idea what will happen now?!? will they even bother to score my comps properly? I don't know what to do...

ETA, obviously my home county hasn't looked at or scored my comps.

I thought it might be like that although I was hoping it wasn't - I did much better in the test than on my comps so the East London situation would have been great for me. It's almost enough to make me wish I lived in East London...almost but not quite:p

Sorry, I've got no info but I've got plenty of sympathy. It seems very unfair to not be properly looked at in other regions that you might have gotten an interview for because your "home" has different criteria. All I'd say is call up the Recruitment Line as soon as possible. Good luck!

Did anyone else get an email stating there was attachments but none to open. I know some peeps have had trouble opening them but mine are not there to begin with. States i need to read the attached files before interview but i cant find them. States about taking a passport pic but thats it.

    Anybody else have this

    Thanks

Hi Sherrilou. Well done! I got the same email with nothing attached, but I'm hoping they are the same docs which are linked to my confirmation on the CS jobs status page. I say hoping - because I can't actually open these...lol!
I'm going to try to open them from work on Monday and if that doesn't work I'll be on here looking for help!

Glouc/Bath/Weston seem to be the only locations.

Thanks, I did call yesterday, after waiting half an hour to get through the woman on the phone couldn't be less interested, said she couldn't understand what I was getting at and to e-mail in my query instead!
I've done that, but not holding out much hope.

I, like many others am hacked off with the way they're handling the whole process. There's no consistency and none of their famous "transparency" and "open and honest communication" they bang on about when you're working for them...
