DWP Recruiting Again - 2012

Email received yesterday:-
"RE: 1228130 - Executive Officer/Band C Northumbria, Tyne and Wear
You recently completed the Civil Service Initial Sift On Line Assessment.
Whilst you met the minimum pass mark for the Online Assessmentdue to the volume of candidates in this exercise a raised pass mark has been used and unfortunately you failed to meet this pass mark. On this occasion we will not be inviting you to the next stage of the recruitment process.
As you met the minimum pass mark you will not be required to re-take the test for any future exercises you may apply for at the same grade. This exemption is valid for a period of 6 months from the date the original test was completed".
From what I've read on here I didn't expect to get an interview anyway because my comp's were only 3,3,3,2,3 even though I was quite pleased with my 80% online score.
Email received today:-
"1228130 – Executive Officer Northumbria & Tyne& Wear
If you have received any correspondence on 21st February regarding the online test mark being raised for the above recruitment exercise please ignore.
I can only apologise this should not have been issued, we have had technical difficulties and your application is still being reviewed".
DWP - I really don't know what to say about this (dis)organisation!
Cheesy peeps! It gets worse! LOL0 -

In my dream I actually woke up in 2016!!!0 -
MINT - LOL
Would have been quite funny if it was not affecting people's blood pressure for a month now.......0 -
This has got to be the biggest recruitment shambles ever!!! The last one was bad enough. 6 months from being offered the job to actually being posted. That was only after I called them to complain about their shoddy selves lol.
If they want us to take an online test they should at least have a sensible pass mark otherwise what's the point.
Then with the current postcode lottery and luck of the draw as to who actually marks your comps.
My area in London is marking comps lower than the other London areas. This I know as a few fellow applicants received scores from other London districts before the lottery started and they received lower scores in my region.0 -

Hey mint25 - if they're raising the Northumbria and lowering the Larndon pass marks, does this confirm what I've always suspected? The further north you go, the more intelligent the folk are. You of cousre are a genius, being located in Scotland
WeeeeeellI can only go by myself and I didn't even send the locations form back so what hope do I have??! :T

For those with interviews booked having problems downloading the links from cs site, if you click on the link (it should open a new window) and then in the address bar add https:// at the front of the address bar so it will say something like https:// jobsfile.civilservice (without the spaces)..... and then hit enter the file should download. It certainly works in Chrome, not tried it in IE or Firefox.
Three of the forms should have been attached to the email but there are some others that weren't.0 -
You said it yourself. You have 'landed' these scores after getting a VERY poor online score yet you still can't help yourself and continue to go on and on about them and even go so far as to say they are the best in the area!! You are just laughable. Good luck with the interview, you will need it. This isn't abuse btw, just wait until you are in the job, you will learn all about abuse!!! Oh.... and I'm already a permanent EO so you won't be landing yourself with anything better than I already have
pmsl...brown pants time for wanda0 -
I dont mind facing an angry customer and dealing it with calm head.As customers come and go. I am dreaded of the thought of other colleague (permanent) having the same traits ..:A0

If you are meaning me then I am far from angry or jealous about Wanda's scores. I just personally think she should give it a rest. I got a decent online score and decent comp marks and am self assured enough to leave it at that.0
