Any danger of me ever receiving my scores?

I agree - which area are you? The Staff/Shrops has been on hold for over 10 days and as those are now the ones I need to get to have any chance of an interview I am getting more and more frustrated!! I seriously did not think that area was that big and am unsure why it is taking so long!! It is even more frustrating as I had perfectly decent comp results from B'ham taken away as that is not my home district. Hilarious though to see a line of 1's with comments like 'Strong evidence of meeting competency' listed as the feedback:rotfl:

Well, I got an interview. Which is great, trouble is its miles away and I'm bit sure I can get there.....

    Noooo! Don't panic!
You only get one P60 per tax year and it has to be issued by the company you were employed by on the last day of the tax year (5th April). If you changed employer during any given tax year, your earnings info will have been carried forward on your P45. (And if you temp for agencies, they should provide the P60.)
So the good news is you will only be looking for 3 P60s, not 9!

    Not so!

I have more than one P60 for several years - up to 5 for some years! This is because I've worked for different agencies and still been registered with them at the end of the tax year - along with periods of claiming JSA.
My W Yorkshire competency statement scores have now all gone to 1's, with the following note attached:

My 'home' region is North West so I presume they are taking my competency scores from that region and the 5x1's on my W Yorkshire competencies are intended to reflect that?

Derbyshire competencies still say 5,5,5,4,4 though!

I also applied for both North West and West Yorkshire but neither competencies have changed to 1s. Neither is my 'home' region (Lancashire) as that was an internal recruitment exercise. I'm not sure if this will go against me when it comes to selection for interview. Surely I should be given some credit for being prepared to travel!

Would be better if they had declared the entire process a debacle and dreamed up a better method of filling their vacancies.

I hope i receive another email stating it is wrong but I did get a 3 on one of my competencies so think it is more than likely correct.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that South London will mark my competencies too as my kent scores haven't been transferred across

Sure I read somewhere earlier that it's your "home" scores that count and they should be used in any other regions you've applied for.

The thing is, folk appear to talking to advice lines and are being given different, conflicting advice.
  • What I'd really like is for this discussion board to be brought to the attention of the senior DWP person responsible for this recruitment exercise. I'd then like that person to post a once and for all statement on here. They wouldn't have to answer any questions, just post a statement. That statement should include an apology too.

It's exercises like this recruitment fiasco that play into the hands of external, private agencies who approach the government with their "we can do it better, cheaper" line and for once, I'm disappointed to say I'm actually finding myself in agreement with that philosophy.

I got pretty detailed feedback - not just the generic crap that others got back - but I don't agree with it! And as the person concerned could not spell I'm assuming he or she must be an idiot. I would have given myself a much higher mark.

But, seriously, does anyone else think this exercise to be a little on the intellectual side for EO JCP roles? How many EOs do you know who WOULDN'T have struggled with that online test? How many would have cocked up the competencies?

Some time ago, when I applied for some FTC roles EO and AO, the tests were (a) a grammar piece with 15 mistakes we had to spot, and (b) a straight percentages piece. No cognition, no logic, no reasoning, and I breezed it (as you would too) and that was good enough for EO in 2009. OTOH, there were people on that test who stood no chance, and who failed, who were ex EOs and AOs looking to get back in!

I don't know what the hell DWP thinks it will achieve by continually upping the difficulty for entrance, but they sure as hell know how to cut the EO wage before they go on a recruitment drive.

If that is the case then i can kiss good bye to South London too as live in Kent - oh well

    Best of luck everyone
