Thanks for your post, I'd given up checking the flippin' thing but after reading it I looked again as I am same district I believe. Got interview but no comp scores though. Did you get any? Not complaining though, as some really good people seem to have been denied a chance.

Does anyone know how to appeal the marking procedure for the competencies?

I got 7,7,4,6,5 for Glasgow and have an interview but 5 x 2 for West of Scotland and want to challenge the difference in the scores. How can the same competencies be seen so differently!

Received an email telling me that I'm through to interview for my application for Kent! Very pleased, now to book it and start practising ready for interview.

Its all rather strange, I'd also heard that but my other source sent me a very detailed email which stated they weren't basing it on competency scores but your online test.

Unless of course he misunderstood when he looked into it for me, at the moment I'm inclined to think he's right given the rest of the information he'd provided checked out.

If I recall if you've passed them before and had proof your not required to take them again. In the last large scale recruitment exercise (12,000 staff) approximately 70% of applicants would fail either the literacy or mathematics test and it was required to pass both.

As you have an interview is it worth the effort to complain? You won't get another interview with West of Scotland as your Glasgow one covers all areas you applied to. I suspect the 5x2's are the same as the 5x1's a lot of people are getting in England - removing you from the sift process in West of Scotland as you qualified under Glasgow. Call the recruitment help line and let them know your issues - they will then - if you still want to complain - provide an e-mail address specifically for complaints.

That pass was only valid for a year and you also had to keep a copy of your pass form or do the test again. If you failed either or both you could re-take them!!! That was in 2009.:)

Got my competency scores today and I am a little disappointed..

Got 6,4,5,7,5.

The overall rating has been left blank, the feedback is very limited on all. My score on the online test was in the 92 percentile...
I guess I will just cross my fingers for an interview.... Would be nice to know if I am in the running or not, but no other feedback...

Which area is that for? Those scores aren't too bad so fingers crossed you'll get an interview!!
