Yes I received my competency scores for North Wales on Saturday. The scores were really disappointing 3 4 4 2 4, especially as I took my time to write them & followed 'STAR' but it seems that wasn't good enough. I totally disagree with the scores of 3 & 2 as everyone including myself thought those were the best.

I wonder why some (like yourself) have got them and my application is still showing as 'under review' for the same area? Strange... thanks for the reply though
    In deep...
  • My mother works for DWP and her boss has been dealing with the sifts and that is the info they have been given
I sent her an email with a sad face as thought i had flunked because of my 3 - so she double checked for me
  • Cheers, I just hope it applies to all areas in the UK. There is so much inconsitency between the districts its not funny.

My sift scores are in for Kent - I have one 3 but have been told that aslong as you have a total of 20 you will gain an interview.

This is because they understand some people excell in different areas and can't be good at everything

Hope this maybe some good news for others that thought they wouldn't get an interview :)

I got 29 total for my sift scores in B'ham and 18 total for sift scores in Black Country - Exactly the same examples!!! If 20 is the 'pass' score then I'm out of the running in one district... so far :o

Just refreshed the civil service page before I logged off the computer and I've got the Manchester scores - 5,5,6,5,5.

The comment for one of the competencies that scored 5 said it was a good example

Though I suppose mine are more consistent between areas than some others have received.

    Good luck to everyone.

Well done Pixiechick..good luck for the interview :)

I did say to her i was concerned as my South London application feedback is only showing my overall %age on the test nothing else and was concerned as I had read somewhere that - an interview had been granted to someone already and that I was worried I would miss out

She said I can appeal - was concerned about that as may make me look a moaner from the outset BUT she said it would good to appeal as shows that we are aware of the inconcistencies and that the DWP should be made aware - or something like that

I did read earlier that someone was querying as they received a 2 from one district and a 7 from another so you could wait and see what their outcome is 1st too

    That was me! lol :D
I emailed DWP but don't expect to get a reply any time soon. I don't want to be perceived as a moaner by DWP, just want to know how there can be such a big difference in scores.
I know my competencies weren't the best and want to know how to improve them for the future.
    Good luck to you! :)
