I agree Candygirl, we should keep this thread going! I've been at job interviews over the past 2 days so no mindfulness for me unfortunately. I should have made time for it though as I was visibly shaking with nerves at one point! How's yours been going?0

Not much mindfulness or calm thoughts today

Hi there Peeps,
Been thinking of you & the interviews G - nerve wracking indeed
Candygirl, the breathing continues, unless I died & this is heaven - unlikely!
Hi Bitsy Beans.
I have a nice period in the early morning. I wake v early make a cuppa & spend some time just noticing the arisings of the moment. I don't sit in a formal position, as sitting can be painful. It's more like snuggling under the duvet! Coming back to the breath is good because it's simply always there. After many decades of battling with thoughts, there's less of a tendency to get into more thoughts of 'Arggghh here i go again, getting caught up in thinking'. Just back to noticing breathing.
I'm also noticing the aches & pains of the body are ALWAYS changing. It's easy to run a story that 'I feel terrible today, always feel like this etc etc' But actually bodily sensations come in waves, peaks & troughs, intensifying and fading. It's not one solid event.
Hope all is well with everyone. We only ever have to 'deal' with this present moment."Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.”0 -
Candy you have inspired me in recent days with your determination and resolve to find your truth, connect to yourself, others and the universe, which makes me feel connected myself. Thank you.
Goldilockz when do you expect to hear about the outcome of the interview? In times when I do not have a lot of time or inclination for meditation I just ask myself 'how am I feeling in the present moment and what is it that my heart wants' This just helps to bring in some grounding and presence.

Hi guys,
Really lovely to read such positivity on this thread, you're all so inspiring and I love reading your posts. It warms my heart to know there are such lovely and supportive people out there.
As for my interview, well I got the job! I have some reservations though because it took me two and a half hours to get to the interview because of traffic and that kind of journey in the morning is so stressful that even mindfulness can't ease the tension! I also have another interview next week which, although it is significantly less money, the hours are more suitable. I don't have much experience in that field though so I'm not sure I'll get the job. I agree cnoelj that when doing a full meditation seems too much, it's good just to 'check in' with how you're feeling. During the interview process, I would notice I was getting really shaky, especially when I had to do a presentation (torture) so I would focus on my breath for a minute and it had a very soothing effect.
Have a lovely mindful weekend all! xx0 -

That is great news. Even if it is not right that you take the job that experience would have been hugely beneficial to you.
I agree a positive and supportive thread is like a breath of fresh air.:D
Edit: I had to come back and edit this because it was not intentional and unnoticed at the time of posting, but when I read back it occurred to me how much truth there is in that everyday saying 'like a breath of fresh air' I will be meditating on that all day now“The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it.” Eckhart Tolle0 -
Goldilockz well done on being offered the job. I hope you make the right decision for you on whether to take it or not xxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Thanks loveI really have no reason NOT to take it, just a kind of strange feeling I get about it. I have another interview next week which I'm keen on so I'll see what the outcome of that will be...

Pleased to hear about the job offer goldilockz. If nothing else it should really boost your confidence to be offered one. Keep up the meditation and the 'right choice' will be made."Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.”0
