did they offer you a different software disc or just another copy of the same software disc ?

Totally different software, this was not when i phoned but when i got a reply to my email.

    Good Luck folks.
  • Can I just say, I got mine yesterday and I have now converted several different files from the converter supplied and I have had absolutely no problem. I am delighted with this - for the price it is fantastic. My father got one at the same time however and his software is faulty, he went on line for a fix (well my son did on behalf of his grandad) and problem was sorted. The videos converted were good, not blocky or anything like that, I have good sound and am chuffed to bits with it - I'm probably in a minority tho

ive been looking into this and would love a bit of clarification.

is this a standard desktop hard disk which means you can upgrade it, hell even a notebook disk would be ok as 40 gigs is a bit tigh.

can the device still play while beeing charged and can it be charged by usb, also if charging by usb can it still play.

third can it play standard mp3's and whats the interface like to drag them over, do you need to convert them to specific format or use special programs etc

It can be used while being charged

I used it straight out of the box, plugged in the power and recorded programs off the tv within minutes of opening the box...

MP3's are drag and drop and will play.....

I bought one of them radio/fm transmitters from a BP garage (£6.99 with car adapter and batteries) and you can paly the music/sound from videos through the speakers......

the unit also has a nice touch whereby you can turn the screen off...... to save power.. BARGAIN !
    Don't forget to THANK ME !! :D

I wish this had happened to me, i've just boxed up to send it back.
  • ordered one of these myself, hoping mine will be ok, delivered wednesday, what iv been looking out for at a bargain price, got tv out from my pc, which goes into a scart splitter box, what tv cable comes with the unit, does it have a scart connector on the end or the yellow red white phone style leads or another?? this works ok on my tv but on svhs rather than av, would this be ok with the unit? thought this maybe easier than the converting the other way if quality is ok?? any ideas? also mustek who do this unit have firmware for theres on there website, has anyone tried using this on the unit?? wondering if this may work?? thanks

The lead is a Jack plug (in the unit) to the 3 phono leads ( RED YELLOW WHITE )

However, the unit is supplied with 2 SCART adapters...... one for recording...and one for playing.......

i don't know how this works though :S
