I am sure I read loads of tips on cooking red cabbage here recently and I have used the search thingy and looked myself but can't find any!
I want to cook red cabbage to have with my tea tonight but am finding it tricky! I really want to do it in the slow cooker but I am getting in a muddle (just for a change!).
I've spent too much time on the Grabbit board and going out shopping to get all the grabbits and now I am getting in a pickle in the house!!
Thanks in advance for help!!0 -

Hi Cullumpster
Red cabbage tends to do this, it's all about the natural dye in the food. It kinda goes the same when you steam it, looks funny but tastes lovely!!0 -
OH loves red cabbage, will try your recipe arkonite_babe0

when I did mine, it had a kind of sweetand sour thing going on, but was very nice. It was probably due to the fact I had no wine vinegar so i substituted ordinary vinegar instead. Went down a storm in our house anyway0
