SpiralingDown wrote: »quick question re DTD electricals, brothers gf got one a few weeks ago but the SA at CS wrote on the top of the reciept
"If faulty no refund to be given as got DTD for overcharge"
She was told that under no circumstances would she get an exchange or refund if she changed her mind, they said when she asked that she would get an exchange if they were faulty but even then it took them 30 mins to find this out after asking everyone, even the security guard!!
They scored through the proof of purchase part at the bottom of the reciept, is this not needed if she needs to return it because it's faulty?
What I want to find out is this correct or just someone anoyed that she got a DTD
Thanks in advance for the help
Pretty sure it's a load of codswalup. I was told the same a while back as I was begrudgingly being given DTD on a 16 piece Denby dinner set, trout said that even if it was faulty I would not be entitled to an exchange or refund and plastered it all over my receipt! She was getting agitated and kept looking at the ever growing queue behind me, so I said 'I'd better check them all now then' and proceeded to carefully & slowly take each plate out and thoroughly check them before neatly packing them up again :rotfl:Handle every stressful situation like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it ....... just pee on it and walk away.0 -
Lindam bed rails were back in stock today but scanned at correct price:(. Someone checked before me as there was one left by the scanner:mad:
Not me, didn't even notice that.
Think quite a few of the reduced things have gone back up in price. Had an evening trip to CL and loads of the pet stuff in the so called clearance aisle and all SELs have * and state full price. I only checked one thing and it scanned at that too. I recognise one of the pet beds as being £4.50 last year and is now £18.00 and a tyre pet toy I got for £1.75 is marked up at £7.50. There were the retractable leads that I remember people mentioning. Also lots of baby stuff and I'm sure I recognise some of the things as being mentioned on here but I have not ever taken that much notice but it all had * on the SEL. Think Mr T playing games with us.
Only found one thing over there one solitary bag of snowmen and balls for 1p. Still it kept me busy and I have not eaten anything since 8pm this evening. No snacking after dinner, hopefully will help my efforts.0 -

RootedNomad wrote: »If you live near Telford or Staines, may be worth extra visits to your Homeplus store as T is hoping to close these down fairly quickly/as soon as they can relet the stores, but no idea of the actual timescale for this.
They have announced that they are phasing out the whole Homeplus chain, so all stores will be gradually closed down
"There are Home Plus stores in Bracknell, Bristol, Chelmsford, Chester, Manchester, Edinburgh, Nottingham, Preston, Southampton, Staines, Telford and Bromborough in Wirral."

I didn't get to Homeplus that often because it was too far away for me, but there were often bargains to be had. Very sad news for the staff at these stores.
Woahhh I can't believe they're closing, such a shame. I like the odd mosy around Bristol homeplusjumblejack wrote: »That to me is paradise!! If only we all lived in harmony with nature like this. (Big sigh)
I love this scene! Imagine how lovely that little community would be.
How far would you have to travel to T's though??!!:eek: Or perhaps T's would become more like village stores with grass roofs to boot! :rotfl:
I think I'm just about catching up. I'm watching Call the Midwife and munching on Asda's Extra Special carrot cake, terribly yum, especially if you can get it for 10p!!:T
Only a couple of whoopsies for me today; sandwich filler 10p, blueberries 26p and pre prepared mango 38pThere were tonnes of brilliant whoopsies at A's, packs of chicken legs and free range chicken breasts etc etc for 20p but unfortunately my freezer is full! Did pick up a couple of packs for my neighbour though
Also used up a £4 off £20 cond spend in T's as we were out of milk and I couldn't find any whoopsied today!
:o
EDIT: All caught up now (from this evening anyway!) so goodnight everyone'There are people who have money and people who are rich' :heart2: Coco Chanel0 -

Before I go to bed just realised I forgot to wish happy birthday to bensonsmum's FIL and mharzuk's DD so just sending my belated wishes.
And Sharon-p am so pleased for you, such brilliant news. I bet you can't stop smiling.
Wool27, your other home sounds wonderful, It sounds like your heart is already there.
Really pleased that your results are ok FK, I must admit I thought it sounded a bit viral but I'm no doc. Have a DD that is hoping to be one (at med school like Karlie) does that count?
Debs, loved your wombling tale. :T
And what amazing pics from the photographers among us.
And finally cheers to Happy for the drinks tonight.
There were a few other things I wanted to say but it's so late and I'm so tired and tummy is rumbling so think better call it a night before I raid the fridge or larder. :rotfl:0 -

Not bad for a first attempt, I now have a better idea of what I need to do to make it better. It's all just part of the learning curve.Awaiting a new sig0 -
Westvleteren, hope you can stay up, and do see the Northern lights!
Stunning picture QOC.
I too would love to see the northern lights!
Sorry, failed yet again. I have been lucky to see them, but have also missed several wonderful light shows according to my mum. There is always tomorrow... Maybe:rotfl:
