quick question re DTD electricals, brothers gf got one a few weeks ago but the SA at CS wrote on the top of the reciept
"If faulty no refund to be given as got DTD for overcharge"
She was told that under no circumstances would she get an exchange or refund if she changed her mind, they said when she asked that she would get an exchange if they were faulty but even then it took them 30 mins to find this out after asking everyone, even the security guard!!
They scored through the proof of purchase part at the bottom of the reciept, is this not needed if she needs to return it because it's faulty?

What I want to find out is this correct or just someone anoyed that she got a DTD
Thanks in advance for the help :)

I agree with FK. I was informed today by CS that I was due a full refund as the item was faulty. Seems like the power went to the SA's head in this case, definitely just someone annoyed at a customer for being overcharged for a product and expecting T's to live up to their OWN policy!!!! :mad:Very unfair treatment and misinformation too! If she has any problems with the item, I'd recommend she calls CS :)

Good news (nearly!) all round then :j

I caught myself moaning about "kids these days" the other day. I'm only 34

Why did I think you were older than that? You must have a wise head on young shoulders, you're only a year older than I am! :rotfl:

There is a £4 coupon for nature babycare nappies on Before I Shop and they are only £3.75 in Mr T's...

Thanks for this, it says I've already clicked through and printed this coupon, when I havent. Any chance someone knows how I can still get a coupon?

I've only just registered and it says the same :(

I thought you'd be ready for a pint F. I am fine, and Mr 3Dogs has been ok today, no real problem with his back, so that's good

Sorry to go OT. This evening I tried something I had never done before. I set my camera up outside and left it to do its thing whilst I went and sat in the warm with a cup of coffee.... few hours later...

Not bad for a first attempt, I now have a better idea of what I need to do to make it better. It's all just part of the learning curve.

An absolutely beautiful pic, what a stunning effect :T

Found a few 1p items today the cadbury tree choc's, Christmas horibo's and a disney princess lucky bag in stocking shape :)
they were all in my local, i had to go to merthyr later so as i'm stuck with no money till i can go to the bank tomorrow thanks to that stupid cash machine eating my card! i thought i would return some hair straighteners, spoke to CS and they said yes no problem just got to get it authorised so had to stand around for 15-20 for woman to come to be told No you cant have a refund here!! even though we are t's and we stock them you've got to take them back to the store you bought it!! Is this right? i wasnt told that when i had to return something last year! :(

anyway no refund for me :( i had a quick look around and found loads and loads of the cadbury tree chocs and mr men sweets and chocolate coins :T only to get to the till and have the tree chocs and mr men all taken off me as they scan as recalled item :mad: i dont know why i ever go to that store ohh and the croc bin odour were there on the clip strip but scan as £1.80 something

Oh and HOHOHO christmas keyring scans at 38p

    :( Oh dear poor you!

I see that the disney princess stocking shaped goodie bags are infact 1p though yay! :T

With regards to the refund, as celebrate said, I would call CS and ask for clarification. When I tried to return something yesterday I was told I could only have an exchange but as they didn't sell the product I couldn't do anything. Then today I called CS and was told that if they stock the product, they will be able to give me a refund but he strongly recommended going back to the original store. It seems you often get a different response depending on who you speak to but CS should provide the most definitive answer for your situation :)

  • Thanks for your help, I'll tell her to ring CS and see what they say. As far as I'm aware the only thing wrong with it is she got the wrong thing but only realised when giving it to her SIL.
She joked that it would have been better if it was faulty because then she could get the correct item.
