Nice picture. For the technically minded, what settings did you use?
F5
Iso 800
25 sec,one photo taken every second when it had finished. Stacked all the photos together. Did think about just leaving the shutter open on bulb. I just left it till either the battery went flat or the memory card was full, 200 images later,. Might drop the iso down to reduce the noise.
Edit: and it's the only time you'll ever get away with taking the first pic with the lens cap on:rotfl:
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

I have just been talking to a friend who lives in Lancaster, and he said that its perfect viewing weather up there but there's nowt to see except Jupiter.
Westleveren (i hope i got that right) that is an absolutely fab pic. I live in hope of ever being able to take pics like that.
I will just go and see if I have any decent ones I can post .....
Sorry, just doing some very random catching up again. Haven't got time at the moment even to go to Mt T:(. Saw this post amongst others re Northern Lights. Looks like I can die happy then:rotfl: I've seen them from northern Scotland (Ullapool way) but saw them at their best when I worked a summer on a farm in Canada as a tobacco picker. Awesome, but at that age I never used to take photos as it didn't seem important, so the image is in my head and can't unfortunately be shared:(Awaiting a new sig0 -

That's the thing tho the girl on CS said it was ok and the person who was called to authorise said i can only take it back to the store i bought it!
The only time I have been told this is when I wanted a refund on an item I had previously received DTD for.
Could have been rubbish but she said it was something to do with the way their finances worked and they wouldn't be reimbursed for the refund as I had received DTD which in effect made the item free.
Actually, that does sound like complete rubbish but the other branch is only 2 minutes away so I didn't mind.If you're not scared, you're not paying attention0 -

Boy, I'd switch in a heart beat!
It is absolutely beautiful, but I wouldn't like to live there. Plus I think they still practice commercial whaling, which I really hate.Dopey_Sleepy_Grumpy wrote: »Don't worry, it's the next village along, 5 minutes drive at most (don't forget, it is paradise) :rotfl:
You didn't see the road I had to drive the hire car down to get there. It was single track with a river each side of it. That drive to the next village along might be more scary than a trout encounter at Customer services!0 -
Scanned several Panasonic phone sets with ood sels but they all scanned at the lower price - shame, you can usually rely on Panasonic...
Did get the new Jodi Picoult novel - big yellow sticker on cover states £2.99 but goes through the till at £6.95 so 97p profit and free book.
This was not my original find but I did find it today. If you're not scared, you're not paying attention0 -
Der I can't find the original post to quote I know it's from CalmSpirit and I would like to offer my entry into the
"Most 1p items scanned while SA deals with unexpected item in bagging area at Till 4"
With 48 1p items at once!
Proof can be provided if necessary, and there were no other items in my trolley to conceal my activities to trout-eyes.
I would also add, for bonus points, this is a store with NO SCANNER, add to that I also asked a miserable SA to scan some of my things, all recalled on his scanner but what the hell lets have a go - all went through at 1p!!!:T:T:T
Do I win anything? Although my pride is enough!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
58 x 1p items for me (without any other 'normal' items)
89 x 1p items (with other 'normal' items included)

SpiralingDown wrote: »quick question re DTD electricals, brothers gf got one a few weeks ago but the SA at CS wrote on the top of the reciept
"If faulty no refund to be given as got DTD for overcharge"
She was told that under no circumstances would she get an exchange or refund if she changed her mind, they said when she asked that she would get an exchange if they were faulty but even then it took them 30 mins to find this out after asking everyone, even the security guard!!
They scored through the proof of purchase part at the bottom of the reciept, is this not needed if she needs to return it because it's faulty?
What I want to find out is this correct or just someone anoyed that she got a DTD
Thanks in advance for the help
She annoyed you got the DTD!! lol
Basically, I cant say if you'd get the over charged price back or the price you SHOULD have paid, however the retailer is usually responsible for the first 30 days of an items 'life', and the manufacturer is responsible for the rest of the guarentee.
I wwould be tempted to ring head office, and if any issues, throw the manufacturers name into conversation, saying you'll speak to them.
