one more thing - a faulty meter very rarely races, it is more likely to slow and stop. However the meter itself may be leaking, the inspector will be able to tell.0

Waiting for a Neuro (wotsit) bloke/woman to come and see him, normal doctor has checked his brain scan and said something not right but doesn't want to say what exactly until he's been seen by the big man!! OH is in bits wants to take his dad home, already talking about moving his bed into the front room and chucking out one of the sofas, i have tried to tell him this won't work as apart from no room, because he can't stand or even use a zimmer frame because his arm isn't working properly we won't be doing him any favours and he really needs to get professional help. Another phone call whilst typing this and they are now saying he might have to be transferred to Frenchhay hospital in Bristol which has the brain surgery specialists. OH breaking his heart as his mum died from a brain injury and was also treated in Bristol this was when he was 15 yrs old, really wish i could be at home but luckily only a couple more days to go and i will be with him.
I hope they are able to diagnose him soon, it's somehow easier once you know what you're dealing with (((hugs)))No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

Things from my childhood
omg my kids think im lying when i say we had an out door toilet and didnt have an indoor bathroom until my father put one in the house we shared with my grandparents in the 80'S:)
We were lucky enough to have an old farm house to play in, and all kids from the area would or could be found there lol.
So remember my nan telling me off, for going out to play in my sunday best shoes and i scrapped them climbing a tree, an they were lush red paitent ones:o
Dripping sandwiches after my grandfather had been cooking meat, used love that, i still get my father to bring me some smalec, (homemade) when he visits poland, as its proper lush lol:o (not so good on slimming world thou)
I remember mum preparing the veggies in a Saturday night whilst dad went out. I used to like being given the heart of a cabbage whilst it was raw. Soooo crunchy n lovely.
Dad used to come in with a bag of chips under his arm when he came in.
Nice memories.
One Sunday we went to a Sunday outdoor market and dad put his jacket on. He was still wearing the mushy peas at the back of his arm on the jacket as he had fallen over the night before whilst bringing our chips n mushy peas home under his arm :rotfl:

3 stars?
I used to work with a great bunch of guys a few years ago. The older, and obviously better trained husband of the 3 used to put a note in the team calendar for when I was getting my hair cut. It was funny enough when I walked into my office and the first thing they said was "ohhhhhh your hair looks lovely", it was a whole other thing when the guys in the London office would say the same thing in instant chat (having not even seen me). I miss that job6 shots, 6 cheap vitamins at 79p or 6 packs of Ricola (£1.45 on offer at £1). Believe it or not, when 3 for 2 kicks in the Ricolas are better as Boots use the full price for 3 for 2.
Thank you so much for this caz2703. I went to Boots today after reading your post. Got 15 packs of Ricolas 15 shots 3 No7 face powders £9 each on 3 for 2 and hair stuff £5.49. Used my No7 voucher. Total to pay £10.32 :j
Soooooooooo pleased
Sales assistant asked for my receipt back as she thought she had forgotten to scan my No7 things, obviously she realised even that should have cost £13 on their own. She was very puzzled when i happily pointed out the 3 face powders on the receipt. Cue my 17 month old daughter shouting "see ya" to her and off we went :T
Oh and also thought i would mention they are giving away a free No17 concealer worth £4.99 with any No17 purchase with a coupon from ACM. Needed a new eyeliner so bought them too in a different boots later on.......where it would have been rude not to pick up a few more shots and ricolas
You are more than welcome. I love trying to get my head around maths queries and better still saving money so this forum rocks for both of my obsessions :beer:Evening all. Just came back from Ts and wanted to share with you possible dtd on Lego duplo my first supermarket 6137 http://m.tesco.com/mt/direct.tesco.com/q/R.211-1958.aspx white sel £10 i took one for my daughter, but on the check out it scanned £19.97 i'am a big push over and would never be able to argue at cs, knowing my luck i just asked sa to cancel that and paid for the rest of my shopping. Dont know if its only in my store but worth checking it out.
How ironic ...... a DTD on Duplo My First Supermarket :rotfl:
Right I'm jealous of all the baking pics so I'm off to cook tomorrows dinner so I can go out whenever I want tomorrow. Have noted lots of things I need to buy to bake various things but I've no idea where I'll store them :eek:0 -
This is a first for me as I never really share my worries so please bear with me:o
I had a letter today from Welsh Water saying here is your bill and btw we notice your water consumption has significantly increased:eek:...kind of 3 or 4 times what I use, I am on a meter.
Checked the reading and not only was it right but it's also gone up by 10 units,I think it's 10 cubic metres of water in 1 week since it was read:eek:...there are not enough  for this.
The letter says we are sending an inspector round, job number but no time or date so I rang them up...after some faffing the girl seems really cheerful and kind and said it could be a fault with the meter but the inspector will tell you more. I am so worried that it won't be that simple because pretty much everything else involves me paying to fix it and I can't afford that:( I can't see any obvious leaks anywhere but the mud which is under the meter below the pavement is quite wet but I can't see anything leaking and that could be rain although it hasn't rained for 4 or 5 days.
I'm praying to God that the meter is at fault but I am really worried this will be my problem and not theirs, also how the hell will the bill be sorted out?
Have any of you had anything like this before? As I said I usually keep my worries to myself but we are a helpful bunch on here so I feel better already!:T Any advice appreciated....TIA!
Sorry for long post too!
Sounds very similar to what happened to my mum except she could hear running water so guessed she had a leak somewhere.
She's on a meter too and so she was concerned about her bill.
She was told that if the leak was on her property....ie. her side of the meter she was liable for the repair, but if it was the meter or the pipe leading from the main supply to her meter, the water board were responsible.
They explained that as it was a leak, she wouldn't have to pay for the excess water. They would adjust her bill back to her normal usage.
Do you have buildings insurance on your property?
If not I've a feeling there was some sort of scheme my mum could have claimed for being a pensioner, but because she wasn't on benefits she didn't qualify for this.
In the end the leak was found under her back door step and was fixed fairly easily.
HTHMy husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0
