Oooooooo im fumin.
Just been into my local boots, just a small one, to check out the vitamin glitch. I couldnt find the drink so asked the assistant. She didnt really listen to what id asked for and went off to return with a food supplement for people who cant eat. I know im skinny, but i eat, a lot!! She then said try tesco. Noooooo. Next she decided to ask the pharmasist. I tried to leave but she said, oooh ang on i will look in the catalogue.
In all about 15 mins. I had ds3 with me gettin all fiddgety. He decided i needed a few baskets so i told him to put them back, then he thought it was funny to keep pressing the automatic door so i told him to stop and that we were going.
The assistant said to me, does he have a behavioural disorder. What? Well, i dont like tomshout at children if they have adhd or something like that. Once i picked my jaw up off the floor i told her that she was a very rude lady and disorder or not she has no right to tell my child off and if she does i will show her what a real telling off is. Goodbye. Stomps out the shop saying very loudly to my 3 yr old that i was sorry for the old lady being rude, it must be her age! Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.0 -

Thankfully it's not as high as it was in Nov 2010 (150!! supposed to be under 30) when I had to stay in hospital for 8 days but have appointment on Thursday with GP to check everything's fine. Not looking forward to it especially if I've got to go into hospital because it's DS's birthday on Sunday and don't want him to have his 1st birthday after his dad died to be one without either of us
Oh no thats pants Spiral:( but dont be worrying until you know whats happening & you've seen the GP as that will only make you feel worse, these are wise words from the worlds worst worrier who even worrys about worrying! Wish I could take my own advice! lol0 -

My nearest branch of bank is 45 mins drive away. it has just taken me 2 hours though to cash some cheques.
I want to switch but all my direct payments, standing orders etc are all set up with them so if we switched our banks to one with a local branch, would I have to manually let everyone know or do they do everything for you.
I think that natwest are currently offering £100 to switch. At least, that is what the advert said in their window this morning.
Halifax are also doing a similar deal and give you the £100 immediately

Just had a cracking experience in my bank!!
On Saturday I went into Coop to withdraw some cash to use to open a new savings account with Barclays who were offering a better rate.
After getting a lecture from the cashier @ coop about ordering withdrawals in advance, I was given the money subsequently took it across the road to Barclays to pay in.
As the cashier at Barclays put the money in their new fancy machines, it kept spitting out one of the £20 notes, he got out a pen, tested the note and said it was a fake:eek: , his manager then tried it under the UV light and confirmed it. They said they were supposed to seize it, but had 'run out of the forms to complete' and so gave me the £20 note back and told me to go back to Coop to challenge them.
When I went back to coop they were closed (1pm on saturdays!!). I called up HQ to make a complaint and was told to go into the branch on Monday. I went into today and was near enough accussed of lying/commiting fraud :mad::eek::mad:
I am furious right now and my confidence in branches has been dented...if there is one place you expect NOT to get fake notes it is over the counter in a bank. I am going to write a letter of complaint later, but its now getting to the point where parking/petrol and phone charges mean even if they do refund it, it would have cost me just as much to challenge it.:o0 -
I see AWT has apologised and is going to seek treatment???!!!
Worral Thompson has since apologised for his actions. In a statement released on Monday, the celebrity chef said: "I am so sorry for all my recent stupid and irresponsible actions. I am of course devastated for my family and friends, whom I've let down and will seek the treatment that is clearly needed.
"I am not the first, and I certainly won't be the last person to do something without rhyme or reason - what went through my head, only time will tell."
"Of course, I must also apologise sincerely to Tesco, with whom I'm had a long and genuine working relationship, and to all the staff at the Henley branch, many of whom I've got to know over the years.
Once again, I am so sorry and hopefully in the future I can make amends."
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -

"My friend can view the points detail for every transaction they make, but I can only view my points summary - why is this?
If you have a joint Clubcard account we can only display your points summary. If you are the only account holder, you will be able to view all your points transactions."
I called them up and asked them to take my daughters name off and a few days later I could then see my individual transactions.
Thanks for this.
Didnt realise it would be different for join acct holders, seems a bit daft tho, but can also see the good side of it to so oh doesnt get to see how many times i actually i go shopping.:j:j :j:j0 -
Completely OT and Sainsbobs rather than T's.....but if you are not too fussy about your coffee....have you tried Sainsbobs basics?
I don't mind it at all for an everyday coffee and save the good stuff for when we have guests or fancy something a bit posher. It's also really good to use in my OH's flask he takes to work.
I always add coffee mate to my coffee anyway and HAVE to put milk in before I add the boiling water ( believe me, your coffee tastes so much better like this!!!) but for 47p a 100g bag i think it's brilliant.
My FIL who drinks nothing but coffee (or beer!) has been converted.
Just thought I'd mention it....
You shouldn't add boiling water to coffee as it actually burns the coffee you should either switch the kettle off before boiling or wait for kettle to cool a little first. Coffee definitely tastes better that way:j:j :j:j0 -

Sainsbobs was fruitful outing. Got loads of lindt bags for 10p and jacobs cheeseballs in a tub for 20p but, awaynfrom the christmas reduced stuff, in the wine aisle, i also stumbled upon vacu vin glass markers, christmas crowd. Marked at £4.30 scanned at 10p.
They are festive pics that sucker onto your glass so you know which one is yours. Not really any good to me as we all drink coke, nowt alchoholic and i dont have parties! But will donate to school for christmas fair.
In the pet aisle there was also these festive treats for dogs shaped like reindeer and snowmen, they were on a clip strip marked at £2 something but scanned at 10p. Dont have dogs so left them! Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.0 -
