just had an argument with bf (the usual, him spending too much on rubbish instead of keeping the money for important things & saving and thinking that if he uses a credit card it doesn't countand his argument for not having money is always 'I'm not earning as much as you!' sure but it's me who pays the rent and does the shopping! oh well, rant over... )
we're on the 'silence' bit atm and I'm really upset so will give T a miss today...
I would still go.
Me and the OH had an argument last week. I just had to get out of the house. So i picked up my keys, got in the car and went to Tesco.
I felt much calmer when i come home
February GC £26.68/£2500 -
Vitamins on 3 for 2 / 79p + 79p + (79p) 0p = £1.58 Free in brackets
Shots on 3 for 2 / £1.99 + £1.99 + (£1.99) £0.00 = £ 3.98
Shots also free / -£1.99 + -£1.99 + -£1.99 = -£5.97
£1.58 + £3.98 = £5.56 - £5.97 = -41p
but it took a further £1.99 i've studied the receipt but can not fathom it out.
i would of got more in the store as manager said i could, but the only shots left were stickered 1/2 price at 99p.
kadison i assume you went to orbital park, how did you get on.0 -

If you get 6 then you get 2 x £1.99 off and an additional £1.99 for no apparent, explainable reason at all. Someone at HO has made an almighty error!! None of my receipts make any sense at all!Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be
And get lots of glitches!0 -
OMG I'm BUZZING!!!! Just got my first glitch AND my first DTD!
Glitch was Boots but the cashier confused me saying it was giving me £5 off the other shopping, she want to the manager who obviously told her to just put it through (this is G/bridge for locals) but now I've worked it out I got £2.41 off the rest of my shopping (would have been the usual £2.81 everyone else is getting but I they only had vitamin C for 79p and I didn't want 6 of them lol!)
THEN I WENT TO MR T'S.........
Found a few things that SHOULD have come up cheap but didn't (the Ariel £2.49 deal isn't working in $w*nd0n) so put them all back, had already spotted, grabbed and scanned (with all the other stuff), a B&D heat gun for £7, could do with one as have some paint stripping to do once spring rolls around, so grabbed it and scanned it - £18.51! Went back to check and it was the same model on the £7 SEL only with a 'T' on the end, wattage was also different but decided to chance it anyway as I couldn't see any other heat guns, B&D or otherwise.
Acted all distracted at the till (mobiles are incredibly useful for this) as it was my only item and pretended to realise only when she said "that's £1.49 change...", so transaction complete, went up to CS, still doing the 'distracted' thing (I'm SUCH an actress ) stood while he went to look, came back with the SEL label and said "you're going to love how much you're getting back!" - £23.02 - woohoo!!!! So not bad for my first DTD ever, £4.51 in credit and a free heat gun! :jNo Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

@ HC, mate how are you ? am missing your SOH,
how bad did u leave things with Andrea ?
Really don't understand why feel unwelcome here ?
Think you should reconsider you position.
@ the mods : You guys n girls should also reconsider you positions, remember this is all voluntary both ways.
take a look @ HC sig, clearly says Asperger's, perhaps something to think about before coming down heavy handed.
A little research and understanding goes a long way:

Bought 2 of the 'Mixed claw clip hair accessories set' today.
Each one has 3 x claw clips (the small grabby type ones you stick on the back of your head if putting long hair up), 12 x hair loops (covered thick elasticr band type) and 14 x hair grips.
One set is black and grey, the other is black and tortoiseshell. Ts own, on a white card backing, bc 1344 (same bc for either colour), 50p each set.If you're not scared, you're not paying attention0 -

I have had a look at my receipt and I think there is some kind of other buy 5 get one free offer kicking in as the "rogue" £1.99 is taken off for the fifth shot, not the sixth. So if you get 6, there is 1 x extra £1.99 taken off, but if you get 12 there are 3, ie 2 extras for the 10 items and a further one for the 3 for 2. To test it out you would need to buy 15 vits and shots (lowest common denominator of the 3 for 2 and 5 for 4 offers) and I simply don't have the brass neck for that. Only offer I can think of that is on 5 for 4 is the travel mimiatures/travel toiletries offer - need to check in a biggish store if the shots are inluded on the travel toiletries shelf/in that promotion as it is not available online.
Don't suppose that makes any sense at all to anyone!0 -
Hi Everyone, I have just managed to catch up and OH has just come in from work to let me know that DS's motocross helmet has arrived at the bike shop and can be picked up anytime before 5:00pm:(
I am gutted that it is there as it now means that my DS can now go out with his dad to try out the bike he got for Christmas.
I don't think I can watch him as I am having panic attacks even thinking about it just now.
BTW the cakes look lovely, they are making me so hungry:)
My Husband and son are both motorbike fanatics
We had to build a massive shed down the bottom of the garden as they now have five ....well son has one and hubby has four... plus all the paraphanalia that goes with it!! (It does mean I can keep my goodies and freezers in the garage though!!)
I used to worry about my son injuring himself, but he is so keen and always has dad along to make sure he doesn't do anything daft, that I'm just pleased he's found something he loves so much.
I think I'll worry more next year, when he's old enough to ride on the roads. My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0
