to be fair i do tell him what things cost and he has an idea of what we receive each week, my son only gets what most of the other kids around here get, he works hard in school and is currently studying for his gcse's, i wouldnt want him working at the age of 15 neither just simply because i want him to study and still have a life with his mates while he can.. when he was younger he was bullied a lot due to being over weight he has now slimmed down and has a whole new group of friends which he never had before so it is important to me to keep him in the clothes that he wears now kids nowadays can be very hurtfull the last thing i want is for him to bullied yet again because he doesnt have the same gear as others.... what i was tryin to say is he may not want anything to do with his father but that extra money i have been receiving will be usefull in one or another whether it be to top up his blackberry or use towards lunch money whilst at school and college, he is just determined that we dont want/need it because it comes from him iyswim

You sound like a lovely caring mum I am sure that he appreciates everything you do for him, sorry I did not want to sound like I was saying he should be working, my DS1 son decided himself to get a job and I didnt want to stop him, must admit was a little concerned how it would affect his grades but actually he couldnt have done better - which is a little annoying when he didnt really revise.
Your son sounds like he has been through a lot and I bet he was also trying to protect you in a way. I know what you mean about fashions, its a nightmare trying to keep up with them. Good job we shop at T's otherwise it would be worse than ever:)

A special post from my "cyber son";)

"It's taken me hours to catch up and the bickering on the thread resulted in me asking my sis to post something on my behalf. Sorry it was just a brief post as I didn't want the moderators thinking that my sister was typing on my behalf and resulting in her being banned also.

I'd like to thank everyone for the tremendous amount of support shown towards me. I can't believe how much fuss (good and bad) has been created over 'little' old me.:oblank.gif

A few of you are aware that I have no wish to return as I don't want to be somewhere where I'm not welcome, even the people who don't want me here are lurkers who don't contribute to the thread.

Regarding my email to MSE, people are correct when they assume that I did it out of shock/as a knee jerk reaction. I also did it to make sure I wouldn't be allowed back. However, I'm pretty sure that discussing other members PM's on the open forum is a banning offence. It's nice to know that there is one rule for them and another for us. Also, I could have swore that I put more information in to the email than was put on here by the forum team. If not, then I would like to clarify that I have NOT had any warnings about my language from the forum team. The only contact I have from MSE was from MSE Andrea 2 or 3 months ago when I was posting the jokes. The first email I got from her was informing me that it "wasn't a chat thread and to cut back on the chat". I ignored this message and a couple of weeks later she contacted me again saying pretty much the same thing. I responded to tell her that the title of the thread contained the word 'chat' and that 8 out of 10 people wanted the jokes. I then went on to ask if she had a problem with me? I then web further to say that I would stop the jokes. Andrea never replied to me. One thing has just occurred to me whilst typing this and it could be the reason I meet received ANY of the many warnings I'm supposed to have had. I'm pretty sure that in the 'User CP' there is an option to turn off emails from MSE and Forum Management. I'm pretty sure I may have turn this off due to a bad experience I received on another forum from the mods etc. If the forum team are worth their salt they will investigate this further.

I have always said that if ANYONE had a problem with anything I have posted then to let me know, either on the thread or by PM. That way I could remove the offending material and offer a personal apology. Because of this I was quite disappointed that MMW felt she had to report my jokes rather than come to me about it. I would like to make it clear that I had, and still don't have any animosity towards MMW. As as I said on numerous occasions, everyone is different and was more likely to offend someone as opposed to please everyone. I have a great deal of respect for MMW and I feel people were rather unfair in attacking her. At the end of the day all MMW wanted was for the thread to return to normal so that it wasn't closed and that no one else got banned"
I got as far as this tonight.....what an absolutely smashing bloke :T:T:T:T

    Night all xx

  • Ok coming right up then, was reverting back to my days as a sarcastic barmaid in one of the less classier establishments in Glasgow in the mid 90's.
    Apologies, ice it is then:)
