Can I ask, is this in the shopping centre or above Mr Ts?

Cocobear, its the one in the shopping centre. You can walk through from Ts. Its at the end nearest the High Street train station.

The SS tills are on the lower floor and the vitamins are on the 1st floor. I went in on Tuesday and they were out of the cheap vitamins but still had plenty of shots left. I did not check on the Ricola though so they may be an option.

The Boots next to Ts is manned tills only and much smaller. I went in there on Tuesday too but they were out of the cheap vitamins and only had a few shots in.

  • I'm heading into the 'big smoke' tomorrow aka Lincoln....hope there is some good bargains in the kidswear.....meerkat & my bump don't need anything but it's always nice to spoil them...plus I'm on the look for this yrs Xmas/birthday pressies in advance... Snow globes already bought and a few soap gift sets for less than a quid from mr s :):T

Hello. Just to let you know I don't very often find much in either of the Lincoln stores, my local is the Wragby Road one but have never found any of the really cheap toys or stationary items there (hence why I don't post my finds very often - they don't exist :)). Can't say anything about kidswear though as have never really looked. Have found a few more 1p items in the bottom Tesco but they don't have a scanner so bit awkward if you haven't got barcodes. Hope you find stuff!

It feels like this thread is dying :(
maybe in a weird way it's a good thing as I spend far too much time on here reading and running off to tesco :/ and not studying my degree! if there was a tesco degree then I would get a first :D

What you have done for your neighbour and his dogs....goes way beyond the call of duty. He's very lucky to have someone like you next door.
I'm dreading the day I lose Purdy....can't bear to think of it, but have decided that once she's gone to the big dog walk in the sky, I'm done with pets.
I'd like to travel before I get too old or too ill to do it, and I'm one of those soppy people who can't leave their dog in a kennels for a fortnight, so we've not had a proper holiday for about 8 years, which has been OK as we've had a house to totally renovate which took about 5 years!! but I want to go to Australia as I was born there.

We have paid a fortune in kennel fees over the years   but don;t have anyone to look after them when we are away, and even if we did I feel better with them in kennels - they have all loved it in there anyway :D:D But I know what you mean, animals are very tying ....... but well worth it :j

Phew! Finally caught up (every time I thought I was reaching the last page, another one appeared )

I just wanted to say that HC's message shows what a thoroughly decent gentleman he is. I really hope he returns as I will definitely miss his posts. Hope you are back soon HC! :)

    :)

His message showed a great understanding and reflected his nature perfectly. I think one or two people could learn a lot from his humility

I'm not going to shoot you, and its good to hear a contrary opinion that well argued. :)

Phew, I was worried I'd come back to a few nasty PMs.

Well I did get one but it was from our chum Percy65. Seems he can still read our messages on the quiz but he'd like it to be known that he does not cheat. Needless to say I've wished him well :rotfl: So Snap-Ant, naughty step for you. Apparently if we (as a collective) didn't want others taking part in our quiz it shouldn't have been made public. Mind you he's now a member of MSE so maybe we should allow him back so he can outsmart all of us again

So anyway, back on topic, got a double DTD today :D One totally innocent, one not so much. The 'not-so-much' one was stickered 3 for 2 items which didn't work. The other one was probably a store specific error (will check tomorrow and post if not specific). Lets just say the item scanned at more than twice the SEL and this time I really was sweating going to CS. SA went off, took her time, came back and said what seemed to have happened was the wrong product had been put out so she'd honour the SEL price - strange, I went back and checked and the item barcode and SEL barcode matched perfectly. For a change I kept quiet and waited. The 342 was an obvious one they couldn't deny. Got refund receipt and questioned why the amount was so high (feigning shock at DTD). She explained that I got DTD on the 342 error and they'd honoured the price of the other item. Shame their maths was wrong as they did in fact give me DTD but hopefully I'm not on their radar for arguing.

Oh and got 9 more shots in Boots so more cheap baby wipes & No7 wipes :D Loving the vitamin glitch.

Oh and on a final note, I too have found solice on this thread over the last few months. I won't go into details in case my chum Percy is reading but most of you know anyway. If it weren't for the Ts glitches (and the odd non-Ts glitch) I don't know what I would have done for putting food on the table, toys in the Xmas stockings and managing to pay the bills. This thread is so much more than glitches & misprices but todays DDTD (double DTD) is in honour of HC :A

Perhaps Phil should take a leaf out of Charlie's book ....

Perhaps he will?. Bear in mind he's only been in the job 9 months. Financial analysts seem agreed that the current state of Tesco is still a legacy of the Terry Leahy polices and leadership.

Just come back in for my handbag left it on the bar :rotfl:and had to comment. That sounds good that it worked and gives me a bit of hope, my other elbows going but it's because I try and do things with the good arm so over use it:( Left your Southern comfort on the side:)

Yeah it did def work. He has a scars on each elbow, about 2 inches long I think. Pretty sure he was only in hospital overnight, 2 at the most and that was probably more due to the fact where he lives and getting home wasn't easy. He was off work for a bit after as well, about 6 weeks. He's a lorry driver so couldn't go back early or anything like that.

Well I am departing for the evening, knackered after DD's exploits last night, so gonna curl up with my book for half an hour.

    G'night all :D

I'm only an occasional poster when I find things or report what there is/isn't, in my local but I am a fan of HC and really hope he becomes a member of the thread again.
