I've just been catching up and am at a loss for words. Happychappy never would intentionaly hurt anyone and I always found him most helpful.

As for printing his email, to me that was out of order, it should have remained private and not posted on here.

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

To be honest it is past that and I am sure that till the Mods get an apology then they will not move at all on the matter.

I completely back them on this and think that we should end all the controvesy and stop talking about it. (I miss Happy and think he has been misunderstood but we need to stay out of this now)

I also vote for starting a new thread to put all this behind us, it is not helping anyone at all.

I have to agree with this, I can see this thread be locked down if we continue to argue about it and between ourselves....

That was AFTER he'd been banned. In the general course of the thread, give me just one instance of where happy was genuinely rude TOWARD someone!

I bet you can't and what is more when he thought he'd offended you, he sent you a pile of vouchers as way of an apology! How many people would actually have done that?

Whilst you are entitled to your opinion, I find your whole stance on the issue quite selfish and objectionable given how he has treated you as an individual.

I'm off for a nice walk now while theres still some sunshine as this whole discussion is now beginning to make me feel quite depressed. :(

OT but I'm redecorating my study, removing wallpaper to have painted walls. Can any of you out there tell me (hello Frequent!), should I remove the lining paper as well or should I paint onto that? The walls underneath are plasterboard and seem in very good nick, the house was only built 1986 so not been bashed about too much.

    TIA :D

I have a house of the same age, got a decorator in who removed both the wallpaper and lining paper but then relined the walls before painting. The problem with not doing this is the paste may leave a residue, even a fine one, which will be obvious once painted over so it's best to re-line to get a good, even canvas for painting. hth :)

Thanks for clarifying my thought, but tbh I rather wish I was mistaken.

I feel sick to my stomach now.
