I have not posted much as I have never found bargains on my own, but follow this thread whenver I get the chance. This is my favourite thread as apart from pointing out the bargains with helpful pics/links....I could see that this was a true community. Everybody was helping out each other with anything and everything.

For all those who were moaning about the chat...I was always thinking..."that is y there is the 'quick grabbit board'...just have your quickie..grab the bargain...thank/not thank the OP...go on to the next bargain".

This forum was so different and anyone could feel the genuine love/friendship most of the forumits had for each other. I also have enjoyed HC's posts whenever they appeared while I was browsing...

I can't comment on this particular incident as I do not exactly know what happened...but for all those people making nasty comments about people supporting HC, it seems you are just after a bargain and have never understood the true spirit of this particular thread

I don't think the two are mutually exclusive, we can chat about other stuff and wait to see if HC re-appears or if there's news of him getting in contact with the forum people.

How about just keeping him in our sigs, that way we are supporting him without actively discussing it, as this may go on for some time and much more discussion could lead to us being shut down

IMO though I think you are putting too much emphasis on his language. How many times in life do we meet someone who swears like a trooper but is a genuinely nice person?

I believe HC was indeed one of those people. Lets face it, he never actually swore AT anyone, his language was just colourful. I don't think he ever actually abused anyone in any way shape or form, and if a complaint was put to him, ie his jokes, he quickly removed them and in the end stopped posting them at all.

I'd support the mods wholeheartedly if...........

1. They actually came down as hard on posters who swear AT or use distasteful expressions toward other people to deliberately put them down or make them feel worthless as happens all too often on other threads.

2. They could show us (they seem happy to share certain things with us so why not) that they made a genuine attempt to sort things out with HC before he was banned.

I'd even shut up then....now theres an offer that can't be taken lightly
