I am catching up but before it gets too late, I'd thought I'd post pics of my evening meal a la slimming world ;)

Roast Turkey Breast with mixed salad and herby new potatoes (done like chips in halogen), followed by home made rice pudding with banana - and it was yummy :j By the way, I did resize the pics but they stayed big

What's Magna???? Apparently the Steelworks FIL worked at has been turned into a museum and his picture is up on the wall as he was the first to do some new kind of casting or something.

It's gotten run down over the years but they are supposed to be revamping it all, go on science adventure centre and then look at big melt & steel heritage :)
I am from Rotherham so have been a few times, I am also just up the road from the hotel QPR recommended ;)

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)

Exactly! That's the reason they were picking on him though. :( perhaps I could have used better words. Over about the course of a year I got to know him a bit. He didn't come right out and say what was wrong with him but he did say he had something wrong with him. Having got to know to him over a year I'd much rather have had him for a friend than some of his colleagues. When he was working on the checkouts I was buying something (can't remember what it was) but he said "oh aye, this for your girlfriend then?" and I told him that he was more my type than any woman and he was quite flattered by it. Months later he mentioned having a drink sometime which I was up for but whatever it is that is wrong with him was quite clearly holding him back, and then he left. :(

Through the years I have seen how my DS has been treated. They see the hearing aid and treat him as an imbecile - it's so frustrating. When I'm with him and others shout, pronounce words LOUDLY or speak slowly, I shudder and ask them why they talk like that. It breaks my heart when DS says its ok mum, I'm used to it. So again HC thanks for being so normal with peoiple, if you know what I mean. :T

Just been to Re@ding West Extr@ and picked up some mini eggs. Scanned at self scanner for 1p, so I threw 5 bags in the basket along with 5 bags of spicy peanuts and a few things I actually needed and headed to the til.

Going thru self service til I got to the end, pressed "finish and pay" and nothing happened. Tried again, frozen. Eventually a SA came over who didn't seem to notice my penny list and sent me across to another scanner while she tried to fix mine. Exactly the same happened. Nearby manager came over and said the til would not allow me to go through with items for a penny, confiscated the penny items and left to take any remaining peanuts or mini eggs off the shelf.

I'm not doing so well at this...

Bummer ... sounds like the end of this latest glitch!

    Or is it? :rotfl:
