    Through the years I have seen how my DS has been treated. They see the hearing aid and treat him as an imbecile - it's so frustrating. When I'm with him and others shout, pronounce words LOUDLY or speak slowly, I shudder and ask them why they talk like that. It breaks my heart when DS says its ok mum, I'm used to it. So again HC thanks for being so normal with peoiple, if you know what I mean. :T

    Oh I hate that, it's so rude, I feel the same when I see people shouting at old people, it's the assumption that they're partially deaf and therefore stupid! I have a tendency to rattle my words off at a million miles a minute so I do make sure I talk at a more normal speed if speaking to someone who's hearing impaired but I wouldn't dream of slowing RIGHT down, how insulting!

    It's not the same thing but it's probably the same people who go over to foreign countries and think shouting in English will make the natives understand :mad:

    Your son should watch See No Evil, Hear No Evil if he hasn't already (though there is a topless scene in it, I'm not sure how old he is), this is a brilliant scene...

    Well they do say everyone has a double somewhere in the world, only I thought mine was Rob.:eek:

    :beer::beer:

    My mum used to see mine in the village 2 miles from where I grew up, quite a few times as well, I never saw her though, obviously it's one of those things, you should never meet your doppelganger (identical twins excepted) because the universe would implode!
