I went to buy caste sugar recently and it has now gone up to £1.99 KG It's the same in Tesco and Sainsburys. (Cheaper in Lidl)
Normal sugar is about £1.00.
Anyone know why?
It's just the same stuff but ground up more. I am going to try making my own in a food processor!0 -

tesco sausages 8pk, was 89p october, then £1 november, then £1.09 december, then £1.19 january
now on price drop to 99p so still increased in price from what they were.0 -
Value peanut butter was up from 52p to 92p. Asda done the same, then dropped it down to 62p and claimed it they had 'rolled back' the price. Tesco have also put it down to 62p, still up by 10p though! 0

value custard powder had increased when i went to pick some up last night, i cant remember the exact price when i last bought it last year. 6-9p i think, 13p last night, i tend to buy 10 packs at a time, i left it there and bought a tin of birds custard powder instead.Grocery Challenge 24th Feb-28 Dec 2012 £2000/£1404
