Indeed if it was the case, we would have seen prices of 10000000 for a pint of milk.
Until that happens a blanket statement that companies can charge whatever they want does nOt hold true.0 -

Edinburgh Airport also has a drop off charge.0

No they cannot charge 100000 for tin of beans, but they can charge what they want !
Where i live.
Sainsbury superstore, Tesco supermarket, Coop Supermarket, all have Heinz beans at 76p.
Also a Spar and Local convenience, same Beans at 85p
Finally an independent, Heinz beans at 1.06.
So companys can charge what they want !
Dfh, are the companys quoted above charging what they want ?
A simple yes or no will do.0 -
Do you know what the purpose of a company is dfh2012? It is to make profit for their shareholders. If they price themselves out of the market they don't sell anything, make no profit and then no-one invests (or everyone loses their money as the company goes bust).
They charge a price that aims to balance company profitability objectives with that of the complex market places they operate in and what can maintain a certain level of customer demand.
We are still waiting since page 1 or 2 for you to provide the laws that make it illegal for companies to sell at whatever price they want to. Just because they don't doesn't mean they cannot.
Repeating the same pointless argument listing different products makes absolutely no sense. Tea is priced to make a profit, not to not sell any at a ridiculous price. The aim in business is not to sell at the highest price it is to maximise profit.
Edit: I continue to post despite knowing the above is well beyond your mental capability to comprehend.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -

There really is no point anymore. Dfh will continue to repeat the same thing over and over again despite clear and patient explanations given as to why he is wrong. It's like talking to a turnip.0

Our new drop off facility, located on the ground floor of our multi-storey car park, costs drivers £1 for 10 minutes* to drop off or collect passengers.
The new premium drop off facility is undercover, protecting users from Scotland’s weather, and has 52 pull-in bays to reduce double parking.
The £1 drop off facility is located less than a minute’s walk from the terminal.
You doubt me??0
