Iv'e been refunded aswell £11.11 on a £17.43 order. Have logged in and my order is still the same (nothing deducted). Will give them a call in the morning. Not happy to pay £3.95 postage on what I think will be a pink waterproof.
Why have they not contacted us first?
I'm understand they have been very busy but surely they realise that people are not going to want to pay £3.95 for 1 or 2 items of low value.

Hmm, how they handle this could be a definite make or break in terms of whether they win new customers or ruin their reputation! I made two orders, one on Sat and one on Sunday, but I've yet to get a delivery or a refund email (or indeed any communication from them at all bar the confirmation). My order was sitting as partially shipped and now has changed to packing, like many others.

As a minimum, I think they should be automatically refunding the delivery charges on any orders with more than one or two items missing...I think its a bit shabby that people are having to ring them for this to happen. I can cut them slack as a small company for being slow and overwhelmed, and even for being out of stock of some items, but poor communications and customer service is unacceptable...

I've just had a look on the website and 12 of the 18 items I ordered are still showing as being in stock. Assuming it's up to date, I'm glad I'll be getting the things I wanted the most, but really disappointed I might not be getting the free fire station. I'll be really fed up if I have a refund that brings me just below the £60 threshold for it.
  • I've not posted before, but my Muddy Puddles experience/info may help some of you who are wondering what on earth they're playing at! Here goes.....
I placed two orders, one on Saturday and another on Sunday totalling about £90 for 45 or so items. The full payment was whipped straight out of my account on Monday morning. I ws confused by the 'partially shipped' status of one of the orders so gave them a call on Tuesday to see what was going on as I didn't want the 'full delivery charge for a couple of cheapie items' scenario. The lady I spoke to told me that she would look into the order to see what was being sent out and what wasn't and would call me back within 10 - 15 minutes. Having not heard back some two hours later, I called again and was told by another lady that they were 'in a right pickle' and were sending an email to all customers to this effect and were also holding an emergency meeting to decide the best course of action following the huge influx or orders that they were unlikely to fulfil. She said that there was absolutely no information available at that time regarding my orders, but expected to be able to update me within the following 24 - 48 hours. I pointed out that by that time they would have had my £90 for the best part of a week and that I couldn't afford to effectively provide them with a £90 loan for a week until they decided what they were doing!
The following day my order status changed from 'partially despatched' to 'packing' as others have reported. Things are looking up then, I thought! Alas not. I received a phone call later that morning to say that of the 45 or so items ordered (and paid for) I would be receiving NOTHING! Yup, absolutely nothing. A refund would be processed and that was it, game over.
Appalled by the service, I understand they're a small company, but had I not got in touch with them, I'd still be none the wiser now, as many of you too are. Although clearly not deliberate, the cynic in me considers it a nice little earner too - If they took a few hundred orders for £90 and held on to the money for a week.......

I placed two orders just after 9am last Saturday (7th), one for over £80 and the other for almost £50. I paid using Paypal for one order and a debit card for the other. I've checked both accounts and have had no refunds thus far. I did have one order saying 'partially shipped' but now both orders have been saying 'packing' for a suspiciously long while. I guess I'd better contact them to see what's going on :(.

I placed an order and have checked to see if there has been a refund via paypal. I have had a refund of £1.50 which I suspect is for the veg set or a rain coat which I can live without. Seems they may well not be getting very many return customers from the service received.

Can I just ask, have those who have had refunds actually had emails from the company, or are they just auto generated emails from PayPal? I paid by card, and haven't heard anything yet about a refund. I checked my bank account yesterday, and the money had gone out, and no refunds back in, but I guess there will be a delay recrediting money back to an account. I just wish they would keep me informed as to what is going on. Big fail on the service front IMO.
  • I had a 'picking' email on the 10th Jan, then a 'shipped' email on the 12th. I've had no refunds that I can see (I payed by paypal), so I'm going to cross my fingers that everything arrives in the next few days.
  • The first I knew I wasn't going to get my full order was an email from Paypal to say Muddy Puddles have refunded me £6.19 of a £25.00 order - this was on Wednesday and the money is back in my account.

I have received nothing from them so far and when I log onto my account i can't see what's not going to be sent either.

I am also getting concerned about all this. They have over £90 of my money (paid by paypal so gone from my account immediately). I telephoned on Wednesday afternoon to ask what was happening with my order as it had changed from partially despatched to packing, like many others on here.

The lady I spoke to was not able to tell me what I was getting as she could only see the order "line by line" whatever this means... She did, however, assure me that my order would be sent imminently and should be with me by Friday.

I have just tried to ring again but the customer service department is shut until Monday. With the problems that they are having, surely sorting out weekend staff would have been politic.

Like others, I appreciate that it may be a small company but, they should have contacted us all. I would quite like a full refund now.
