My order is being processed since the 7th. Unusually they took payment straight away instead of when they were dispatching

Expected a quicker result but they have probably had quite a few orders

Hi all, long time lurker posting for the first time this year. I have just telephoned a lovely lady called Bernadette at Muddy Puddles, and she has confirmed that they had an unprecedented response to their sale. I ordered 19 items on Saturday, I would only have received 7 of them. She was worried about the volume of calls she would be receving following mine. Please bear with them, it looks likely that not all orders are going to be fulfilled.
    Has anyone seen the plot?:o

Yes hobbes71 I can see your post. I won't ring up, I ordered lots of items, and to be honest at the prices they are at they were absolute bargains so if some are out of stock, so be it. From what I can see muddy puddles is not a huge company, and I can see how they are struggling to deal with tons of orders. Major companies have automatic dispatch/out of stock emails set up, but I would imagine that this company wouldn't.
I've checked the website and delivery is royal mail second class. I ordered on Sat morning, so I won't be worried if I don't recieve anything this week.
I'm actually considering placing another order, but think I might leave it a day or two.
Money, money, money, must be funny....in a rich mans world.

Yes I rang earlier as the money has gone out of my account, but still said it was being processed. Really lovely person on the phone who said they hope to have it all sorted by Friday. People will be refunded whatever is missing from their order, as they work their way through them. I'm really hoping for the 2 jackets I ordered for my children, but guess it's a wait and see.

My order has now been updated from 'Partially Shipped' on Monday evening to 'Packing' today. Fingers crossed everything's in stock!

I don't know what's going on either. I suppose it's possible they've sent orders in two batches. Maybe they have two warehouses. But we won't know until they start to arrive!

They have been packing mine since yesterday

Lack of e-mails about the delay is disappointing

Muddy Puddles are proud of our delivery service. UK and EU orders will normally be despatched within 24 hours and should arrive within 5-6 working days.

Then again, I doubt they've ever had to fulfil so many orders in such a short space of time. They aren't a mainstream mass-mailorder company. With the kinds of sale prices they've had coupled with exposure both on MSE and HUKD, they will have been swamped. Working with the normal number of staff at their end picking and packing (I can't see that taking on casual staff for just a few days is going to be easy but I bet they've tried).

Plus the possibility that the sales have outnumbered the stock levels (that must be a massive headache for them). Okay, so that's their 'fault' but small companies like this aren't set up to anticipate problems of this grand scale.

I think we need to exercise patience, understanding, and be very grateful for their excellent sales prices! :T

P.S. I read on their site that they'd had problems with emails since updating their system over the festive period; they may still have those problems.
