Unusual for a local bus route to use motorways as well.
Interesting to note that you are the second person today to claim that the route to work is via a motorway with no other route available. Bit like the people on MSE that MUST have two cars as they in the back of beyond.
Look, you've left the job now (or as good as) so stop looking to wriggle out of the sanction. Take on board what people have said in case you find yourself in this situation again.0 -

Take on board what people have said in case you find yourself in this situation again - As to this last statement . I am not trying to wriggle out of anything . WL have issued me with a sanction on the basis that I did not attend one of their apointments (actually its 3 apointments apparently) - the apointments I did not receive . Are you saying thats it ok for a Work Prgram to lie ,but I have to 'make do' ?
As to the 'Take on board what people are saying' what would that be then ,please explain ?0 -

I may not post a lot but I do read a lot and your comments frequently disgust me.
OK, well prepare to be disgusted again!
If the OP really couldn't come up with the money in some way then he should've looked at any alternative ways of getting to work like walking or cycling. If there really was no alternative then he may have a case but it's his responsibility to investigate all the options, which he doesn't seem to have even considered.0 -
Rub-a-DubDub wrote: »I mean really how was the OP planning on getting to work if they'd found a job without the providers help? - Crisis loan , but keep in mind ,the second I joined up WL I was told this avenue was no longer opened to me .
You were either misinformed or you misunderstood.
There are several groups of people excluded from access to Crisis Loans. Work Programme attendees are not one of them.0 -

I've spotted the two cars but no money want advice but won't lose one car posts out in force the last few days. 'We need both cars because I need to get to the supermarket and we cannot possibly go as a family or just when the car arrives back with working partner'. It isn't half term either.0 -

Normally I entirely agree with you but do we know how far it is?
Aside from car/public transport I cannot see how I would get to work. The walk is too far for me and would be dangerous at night.
Though I would have used a payday loan/credit card to cover a travel pass had I not had the money up front, which I can understand if people have obtained a job after a period of unemployment.
Maybe missing the original thread made me totally miss the boat here, help appreciated if I am a moron!0
